I probably spent the rest of the day at the hospital before my dad practically came over there and dragged me out himself. I head a headache from all the tears my face was covered in s,eared makeup my hair was a mess from pulling on it I couldn't believe the one person I had left was gone.

Once my dad pulled into our driveway I climbed out of the car without a word and walked upstairs silent sitting on my bed. I was a complete wreck. "Savannah?" My dad asks walking into my room. I don't say anything but stare blankly at the wall not having the energy to answer. "I'm sorry about Melanie" he says sighing. "You know after your mother, I haven really been good with this stuff" he says sitting down next to me.

"I don't even see you anymore" I croak. "It's like you don't exist, and you know what, I need you I need you to parent me around I need you" I say a tear slipping down my face. "I know baby I'm sorry I just want you to have the life you deserve I want you to stay in this house have a car, food a phone all the things you want and working is the only way I can give you that" he says quietly. "I rather have no car and live in a small house than no you" I say so softly it's almost a whisper.

My dad kisses me on the cheek before standing up and leaving the room leaving me lost in my endless circle of distress.

I woke up and immediately bolted to my phone to call Melanie's mother to see how she was. "Hello?" I hear her say from the other end. "Hi, it's Savannah I just wanted to check on Melanie" I say. "Oh yes she's awake now, the fainting has stopped for a few hours but she probably won't go back to school for a while, or ever. Anyway if you could stop by after school maybe I'm sure she would love to see you I will tell her about you today." She says. I thank her before hanging up to deal with my appearance.

I combed through my hair and pulled it back into a tight neat pony tail and then searched through my clothes for something to wear. I finally settled on boots dark blue jeans and a caramel colored sweater that fit me perfectly and put them all on before quickly doing my makeup. I tried to cover the still healing bruises and marks on my face but they ceased to disappear.

I grabbed my jacket and through it on and my book bag rushing out the door at full speed all so I wouldn't half to bump into Jenna or Bella. I wonder why my dad didn't talk about my bruised face any longer. It's actually gotten worse some things. I guess he's just used to his broken daughter come home with more injuries than the last. No wonder he's never around.

"Hey Savannah! Wait!" I hear Ryan call from behind me. Oh no Ryan!. He's called and texted me millions of times and hasn't gone a day without trying to talk to me why can't he just be happy without me?

"I can't talk to you" I say sternly. "Why? Come on babe what did I do that you left me!" He says no pleads. "I already told you I n-n-never liked you" I say the words taste horrible coming from my lips. "I don't buy it! Someone put you up to this and my bet is it was that phsycho Bella. All she has done is flirt with me sense you left before anyone knew we broke up! She did huh? Is that why your all beaten up!" He says loudly.

"Ryan I can't" I say. "Why? Why Sav!" He pulling his fingers through his hair and sighing. "Because if I talk to you I'm dead Ryan, she will hurt me far more than she has and I can't deal with any more beatings" I whisper. "Savannah we can get her to stop I know we can!" He says. "Ryan shut up! She always some how knows when I talk to you and you know what? After this little fiasco I'm probably going to go home bloody!" I shriek.

I start to run down the street the second I finish my sentence leaving Ryan alone on the sidewalk.
