Ch.46 the hospital

A/N so sorry for the lack of updates I was hanging out with family for christmas and couldn't find a time to get away how was your holiday?

Those six long hours were torture I could barely function without crying I most have looked like a total phsycho.

Ryan wasn't there and I was thankful that I didn't half to watch my back for Jenna and Bella. I rushed out of my last class as fast as I could. I needed a way there. I sifted through my bag and found a crumbled up ten dollar bill and took off running to the nearest bus station.

once I got off at the nearest stop to the hospital I ran off the bus and took off down the street as fast as I could. I flew through the doors of the hospital and ran to the desk to find a snobby looking woman who completely ignored my presence.

"Hello? I really need to see my friend her name is Melanie O'Brian" i spit out the words and anxiously took deep breaths. "only family sorry" she snapped not even looking up from her computer.

"Its we'er practically sisters I really need to see her" I say again only more sternly. "39" she says. "what?" I ask. The woman impatiently looks up from her computer "room 39" she snaps. without thanking her I run down the corridors looking for her room number.

37... 38...39 I press the door open to find Melanie's mom sitting silently in a chair next to Melanie's bed. "is... is she okay?" I ask nervously. "they found a... a brain tumor if we found it in time maybe- but it was to late and its, its cancer" she struggles to say her voice dry probably from crying.

"how long?" I ask a tear slipping down my face onto my shirt. "a year maybe less"
