I got to Ellas school too early. I was just too excited to see her and hear about her day.

I paced the front steps, and noticed a few other parents waiting in their cars, a few others sitting on the benches.

They all looked so calm. Was i the only one that had never done this before?

What if she had a bad day?

I was almost knocked off my feet when the door to the school opened and kids starting running out.

How the fuck was i supposed to find her?

Why did they all smell bad? Weren't they too young for puberty? They shouldn't smell like that already.

Ella didn't smell bad. She smelled like honey, just like her mom.

I felt a tug on my hand and looked down to those big brown eyes smiling back at me

Me: HEY BABY!

I picked her up, throwing her into the air and she squealed. I put her unicorn bag around my shoulder and held her in my other arm

Me: How was it?

Ella: Fun!

I started walking to the Jeep

Ella: We colored and played ousside.

I strapped her into her car seat.

I was a pro at that thing now.

Me: did you make any friends?

Ella: UH HUH! Danny, and Hunter.

Of course. Two boys.

I looked in the rear view mirror at her and she giggled

Ella: Dannys a girl daaaaddy.

Whew.

Me: Well that's awesome babe. I'm so glad you had a good day!

Ella: play da two packs song!

I rolled my eyes. Tyler had been successful in turning my beautiful, precious, innocent daughter, into a little G.

I put on the Tupac song they both liked to sing in the car and let myself be in the moment with her. The top was off, the windows down, and my sweet girl was signing the only part of the song she knew, her hair was going to be a bitch to brush out later.

Ella: i aint mad atcha, i aint mad atcha

We pulled up to my moms and Ella was already trying to yank off her belt

Ella: GRANNY!!!!

My mom was outside waiting impatiently. I helped baby girl out of her seat and she bolted for my mom. Almost took her down actually.

I walked up with her book bag smiling

Mom: So youre going on another date?

I shrugged

Me: I guess so.

Mom: I'm proud of you honey. It's okay to get back out there. Annie would want yo—

Stop.

Me: alright! Gotta go!

I kissed my moms cheek and bent down to Ella. I shoved my face into her neck and growled, tickling her soft little cheek with my beard.

Me: NOM NOM NOM

she giggled and pushed me away. She grabbed my cheeks and put her nose to mine
