The next morning I woke up to the sweet sweet smell of coffee.
I rolled over on the thin mattress and saw Charley quietly humming to herself while pulling mugs out of the cabinet.
Her hair was piled on top of her head, she was wearing my T-shirt from yesterday and i realized she must've grabbed that in her hurry.
It was so big on her. She was so short.
I rolled out of the bed and walked up behind her. I wrapped my arms around her stomach, bent down, and kissed her neck.
Me: Are you okay?
I wasnt sure how she was feeling after last night. I was filled with every kind of emotion, so I could only imagine how she was feeling.
She turned around in my arms
Charley: Yeah. I feel a little weird...but good too. You?
Relieved.
She didn't say she was regretting last night. That was a plus.
She handed me a cup of coffee then wiggled her way up to sit on the counter. I leaned against the opposite one.
Me: Good.
Charley: I'm sorry we didn't... pick things back up... i just...
Me: I get it. That would be a whole lot to explain to the girls.
We chuckled.
She shrugged and pulled her mug to her lips
Charley: maybe next time....
And took a sip.
So nonchalant. Like she didn't just offer... fuck.
Two can play.
I pulled my mug to my lips and smiled over the rim
Me: I could always ask my mom to reschedule our date for today....
Her green eyes flickered and a blush crept up to her freckled cheeks.
I smiled over the brim of my cup then walked over to start putting the couch back together.
She followed and helped.
Charley: Have you... done this a lot? Since your wife?
Me: done what a lot?
We pulled off the sheet
Charley: I dont know... dated? Fooled around?
Was this a trap?
I folded the bed back inside of the couch
Me: Are you asking me if I've dated or fooled around a lot or are you asking me if we're dating or fooling around?
I know how girls work.
Kinda.
She blushed and smiled
Charley: both i guess.
She grabbed a cushion
Me: I've dated quite a bit thanks to my family and friends. A lot of first dates.
We sat on the couch, she tucked her leg under her other to face me
Me: I've fooled around a little... but haven't gotten very far.
She giggled
Charley: because your dick "doesn't work"
She used air quotes, and if only she really knew.
