After getting lost 5 times, asking for help twice and a call to Dan when all else failed, we were home. 2 hours after the lights came on.
Jane was yelling at me, which was no use because I was coming off my high so I was dozy.
"Ashley Carly McCarthy! Are you even listening?" Jane snapped her fingers in front of my face.
"I'm sorry Jane. It was my fault. Jack and I were playing around and I got lost. Then I was too stubborn to ask for directions home. I'm sorry." The way I sounded was as if I heard everything she said because she stopped and went back upstairs to bed.
"Never again?" Jack stood up from his spot on the couch.
"Never again. Not ever." I held my head. Whatever Sam had, it was nashty.
Jack half carried, half guided me up the stairs.
"You room or Sandy's?"
"I'm pretty sure Jane is in Sandy's cause it's got a bigger bed for her and Dan."
We went into my room and closed the door. I started to strip because I was dead tired. I put on shorts and a tank top.
"I'm going to sleep the second I hit that pillow, so if your going to kiss me, you better hold me up." I told Jack, who was in his boxers.
Jack chuckled and held me up as he gave me a good night kiss. I almost fell asleep in his arms.
"Good night Ashy." Jack laid me down and I went to sleep moments later.
