It had been a few days since the last meeting. Those who attended the meeting finally got their assignments and Farley has really pissed me off now.
I am walking down to her room when I run into Gisa. She is holding different kinds of fabric and old clothes.
"What are you doing?"
"Farley asked me and any new blood that can see to make outfits for the attack coming up."
Farley expected her to sew with her hand the way it is?! It still makes my gut drop to my shoes every time I see it. Her poor hand and I am at fouls for her. I did that to her and now I am once again dragging her into my mess. It's not fair she was supposed to have a steady life not this.
"Why is she making you do that? I don't see why we need outfits."
"She wouldn't say why, she just needs ball gowns and suits. I really have to get started on this, I'll see you at dinner."
And just like that she was off. Oh this is gonna be a wonderful conversation with Farley.
I finally reach her office and throw open the door. I'll consider knocking after this is whole thing is over. Inside was Farley and Shade, which wasn't unusually but still is always a shock. She sat at her table while shade draped his arms over her chest and rested his chin on her head. They both jump from the boom of the door. Farleys look grows cold and shade looks defeated. He gives her a kiss on the cheek and leaves.
"I have a bone to pick with you!"
"What is it now barrow? I don't have time or the energy to deal with you bickering."
"First of why are you making my sister make dresses for you? She has no place in the war and shouldn't be involved in anyway."
"I didn't make her. She offered to help so I am using her sewing ability to help us win this. A group will be going into the ball as guests so when we finish killing Maven they are already in there ready to attack. They need to blend in and Gisa is the best person for the job. Beyond that she has no other role and will be safe here, calm down before you break another light bulb."
I hate to admit it but that is actually not a bad idea. I don't agree with Gisa doing it but having people on the inside waiting is smart.
"Is that all? Are we done?"
"No. My main point for coming in here is to ask what the hell you were thinking giving me this job?! Waiting outside the castle with back up? Are you serious? As stated before this is my fight and I would like to be the one to end it."
She looked so calm and it made me even angrier.
"Yes. You will not be on the inside unless we need you. You are not only powerful Mare but you are valuable and Maven would do anything to get you back. We need you here. If Maven were to get you we would lose a lot of power on our side. They would lose hope in us Mare. I've been doing this for a long time. Until you came along we hadn't made any real damage. My decision is finally. Use your head for once instead of your emotions"
I opened my mouth to fight back but all the words died on my tongue. She really thought this through and she was right about Maven. But the need to seek revenger herself grew hotter and hotter everyday. All the sudden the light bulb in the lamp in the corner exploded.
"Great. Do you know how much you have cost us in light bulbs?! I will start looking into candles. Now leave before you do anymore damage." I turned and slammed the door as hard as I could. I hate feeling useless and i have already brought so much pain to so many people, why won't she just listen to me. I need to relax. I decide to do some laps around the complex. I will be in the fight and I think Farley knows that.AN- hi! So I think we are nearing the endish. I would say only a few more chapters left. Thank you everyone!
