Broken Blade (Discontinued)

Stress is running thick this last week. Things have changed, no ones talks to anyone, no one laughs, no stories are told, everyone just does what they are told and nothing more. Everyone has a job to do to prepare for this battle, even I. There is 4 days till they leave for the battle and I am nearly half way through all the gowns and suits Farley requested. I have help from some of the new bloods but their sewing knowledge is very minimal and I usual end up having to fix what they do.
This project is painful figuratively and literally. It reminds me of the before and it hurts my hand. Sarah has offered to help but I declined for the time being. She's busy with mare and she herself just got out of prison and is very weak. Maybe down the line when she has gotten her strength back we can revisit but for now she should be her first priority.
Mare is also a reminder of the before. Before the castle job she was mare, annoying, caring, protective sister who always got her into trouble. Now she broken and we've lost our mare. The whole family mourns that loss of the girl we once knew. She was no where near perfect but she was more whole. Now she is nothing but cracks and missing pieces. But she's my sister and I will still do anything for her. I don't talk to her much anymore. She has been non stop training and worrying about what's to come and I don't want to get in the way of that. She's either training, eating, arguing with Farley or hopefully doing her treatments with Sarah and the other nurses. Knowing mare though she most likely has been to any of those meetings in a while. Why is she such a pain?
We are all very nervous for the fight. Most are not fighting in it but we are still apart of it one way or another and that is very intimidating. I know more about the plan than most because I'm nosey and shade can't keep a secret. I know the party plan and who's going to be the one to end maven. I'm not sure if he's agreed to it but that's the plan and Farley is not one for changes. Farley has promised us that mare would be stationed outside the battle. We almost lost her and it was to much. No one thinks she will listen but it's better safe than sorry. We also know shade has a plan to protect Farley and also keep her away from the battle but every time we ask why he blushes and practically runs out the room. I think she pregnant but I'm not saying anything. I wish I knew more to help ease the curiosity but I also think it's best to not know to much, cause I may regret it. I am content in my contribution and that's enough. I helped and that's enough.

AN- I am soooooooo sorry for such a short chapter but I needed some form of filler. But I can buckle up! These next few chapters will hopefully be something!

P.s. also I had a thought Mare must of started to steal at a young age so she was probably caught quit a few times. I also imagine kilron coming to save her every time though!! I kinda imagine like that scene in Aladdin when jasmine steals the apple and Aladdin gets her out by saying she crazy, kinda like that but with an annoyed mare. Let me know what y'all think!!
