Real Friends

I knew I couldn't trust them. Something in the glint of a poor person's eyes. That want in them that need to be rich like us. Well they can't have me, I can't believe I was friends with any of them. I'm dissapointed, in all of them.

It's been a day since school was back in session, but it feels like a week. I have no friends at this place anymore.

We were eating dinner tonight and they all were acting oddly. "What's wrong?" I ask. None of them could look me in the eyes. "I lost her." Alice mutters, on the verge of tears. "Lost who?" I ask. Reneigh looks at me and starts crying. "Jessi! She's ran away and she's taken your phones and your computers, almost everything!" None of them say anything for a second.

Then I lose control, "do you know what my daddy will do if he knows you people took my stuff! I will be grounded for life! My parents won't give me any more phones or computers, they'll force me to sleep in the maid's old room. Do you know how barren it is? It has one small dresser, and bedding purchased from a second hand store! I will be shunned and I will rot in there!"

I run away crying, I can see Juliana behind me. "Wait stop!" She yells. I run straight into the bathroom and lock it before she can get in. "You have to let me in." Juliana yells. I can hear jess laughing behind her. "What?" I sob.

This time it's Jessi. "I didn't steal your stuff, Alice and Reneigh needed help learning how to fake cry for theater class, it was homework, not real!" She yells. "So you played a prank on me?" I yell through the wall. "No. It was homework." Alice is actually sobbing now. "All of you just leave me alone!" I yell sinking to the floor.

They eventually go away and I walk out. "5 minutes until curfew." Mrs. Camecry says, her tan still very dark.

I run up to our room and ignore everyone as I walk into the bathroom and lock myself in.

About an hour later when everyone is asleep I sneak out of the bathroom. Jess and Jessi have forlorned looks etched in their face while sleeping, alice sobbing while awake.

I ignore her and crawl into my bed. Sleep over takes me only minutes later.

When I wake up its morning and time to get ready for school. I change into my clothes and don't really bother with my hair, just comb it. I don't feel like putting makeup on so I just grab my bag and walk down to breakfast. None of the girls were up yet so none of them saw me leave.

Breakfast has just started and I sit down with Karen, "I'm sorry for arguing with you, you were right." She hugs me, "it's okay glad you found out."

I'm glad I had real friends.
