"Something is coming, something hungry for blood. A shadow grows on the wall behind you." Mike narrated.
We were all listing closely. Excited.
"It... is almost here." Mike continued.
"What is it?" Will asked.
"What if it's the Demogorgon?" Dustin asked. "Good Jesus we're so screwed if it's the Demogorgon."
"It's not the Demogorgon." Lucas insisted.
"Are you sure?" I asked. Lucas gave me an 'i'm positive look'.
"An army of troglodytes charge into the chamber!" Mike dramatizes.
Lucas flails his arms up and gave both me and Dustin a look as if to say 'I told you so' i roll my eyes playfully.
"Troglodytes?" Dustin scoffs.
"I told ya." Lucas teases.
"Whatever," I scoff.
We chuckle, well at least I did. One of them snorted and the other giggled. I don't know who did what.
"Wait a minute," It was so soft we almost didn't catch it. "Do you hear that? That sound. boom... Boom...BOOM!" Mike yells!
We flinch. In my defense, his loud voice scared me.
"That didn't come from the troglodytes. No, that...that came from something else....." He slams down the Demogorgon piece on the table, "The Demogorgon!" Mike announced.
We groan and I slam my head on the table.
"Oh, we're in deep shit!" Dustin exclaimed.
"Will your action!" Mike yelled.
"I don't know!" Will whined.
"FIREBALL HIM!" Lucas shouts.
"I'd have to roll a thirteen or higher!"
"Too risky, cast a protection spell," Dustin insisted.
"Don't be pussy, FIREBALL HIM!" Lucas argued.
"No, Lucas is right, fireball that thing." I agreed.
"Cast protection," Dustin argued back.
"The Demogorgon is tired of your silly human bickering! It stomps towards you. BOOM!" Mike yelled.
