I waited by the window as the sky got darker and there was no sign of Daryl or of my daughter, I wish I was out there but someone needs to be here for the children, I haven't been able to comfort Willow she's been crying all day like she knows that her sister is missing or that her momma is inconsolable that she hasn't done the right thing and caused her daughter to be taken.

Things are worse than we first thought if it is Beta he's been planning this for a while as he's taken all the bottles we had and a canister of formula we had for emergencies, so at least I know that Winter won't starve at least for a few days I honestly hope that she's returned soon, I want her home.

I put the kids to sleep and continue to watch and wait for my family to return, I looked over and saw the liquor cabinet and I want to drink maybe to get drunk but I'm needed, I can't be selfish at least not now.

"Sam, you should try sleeping. We're heading out again tomorrow to look for your daughter, we will keep looking for her until we think there's no hope left." I looked at Michonne.

"I can't sleep, I did and he stole my baby. Half of my family is out there. If Daryl doesn't find Winter I don't know if he'll come back to us."

"He will."

"I just don't know, I'm sure that he blames himself for what has happened that he didn't protect his family."

"Probably he does but he won't stop."

Michonne left me alone as I stayed where I was, finally falling asleep. I woke up when I nearly fell off the window seat, I could smell food cooking.

"Okay, you all have your search areas if you find anything call us. Carol, you stay here and look after Sam, she's not doing too well, those kids need someone to look after them."

"Don't talk about me like I'm not here. So I'm having issues my child is missing. I'm sorry I'm not you or Daryl and can function like this is nothing. Carol, I'd rather you go out I can do this myself. I might've lost my child but I can look after the rest of them." I walked upstairs to the nursery to feed Willow, I picked her up heading to my room to feed her.

"Mom? Did they find Winter?" I looked up and saw Quinn standing there.

"No honey, daddy hasn't, but he will find her."

"But what if he doesn't and she never comes back." Quinn starts crying.

"I don't know but dad will never stop looking for her. Hey come up here sit beside me." Quinn climbs onto the bed hugging into me.

"Maybe I can help? I'm big enough to help daddy find my sister."

"No sweetheart, you're too little to be out there, also I hate that your daddy and sister are out there, now no more tears, daddy would want you to be brave like him, he's the bravest man I know. Why don't you go see if your sister is awake and then when Willow is finished I'll make pancakes and apple fritters for breakfast."

"Okay mom."

Quinn woke Shawna up and we headed downstairs, I made breakfast and waited for any news that my child has been returned to me.

I woke up the next day and I really wish I still smoked because I want one so bad. I looked over and Negan was gone oh well I guess that I'm doing this on my own, I heard rustling I lifted my crossbow aiming at the bushes, I shot an arrow in the direction and regretted it as soon as I saw Negan coming out.
