Author's Note: Welp, here it is, Mollroy. You asked for Ezran's POV. It's a heck chaotic. Enjoy, and yeah. ;)

Everyone screamed. A man was standing there, holding a gun. ((Suspense suspense)) Ellis worriedly reached down to touch Ava, who was growling. I reached into my pocket for Bait, who in this world took the form of a frog. He groaned.

Callum wrapped his arm around Genelyn, and I gag. Gross. Couldn't he pick someone like Rayla? Note to self: When we get back to Xadia, talk to Callum. Ylach. At least if he ended up with Rayla she'd be my legal sister.

But anyway.

Ellis and I exchange looks. I know what she's thinking. We're in the middle of a hurricane. How'd they get into the school? We locked the doors... Didn't we? Besides, what would they want with a school? Not like we had money.

"Everyone freeze!" The man yelled gruffly. His partner stepped forward. "We want whatever you got." He demanded.

A glint caught my eye. Rayla wasn't knocked out like I thought. She was flicking her watch slightly, signalling me and Ellis. On. Three.

What?! That was crazy! She wanted us to fight them? They had guns! Something definitely wasn't right about these nutters. I let my eyes slide to Ellis and Callum. Callum only blinked once at Rayla, and Ellis tapped her other hand. We understood.

For a second, I felt hopeful. Rayla and Callum were working together! We could finally go back to Xadia and save the world! We could stop Viren! We could get jelly tarts!

Oops. Not the time, not the time. Bait groaned softly inside my pocket. The man cocked his gun. "What was that, impudent mongrel?"

"Three!" Rayla yelled, kicking that guy's legs out from under him. Ava barked and leaped on the other guy, while I ran to help Rayla. I wish Zym were here. Wait, never mind. He'd be so scared.

Ava grabbed the guns in her mouth, running from the men. Ha. Now, they didn't have so much of an advantage. Rayla seemed to be just fine, so I ran to help Callum and Ellis. Without magic, he was a pretty bad fighter. Ellis wasn't too great herself.

When I got there, we had advantage of numbers, so we were ok. Then a yelp came, and we whirled around. For a second, I thought it was Rayla. Then I realized who was standing next to me. It wasn't Callum, like I thought it was. It was Rayla. They got Callum. They got my brother.

The guy holding Callum sneered. "Guess I'll just take this guy." With that, he ran into the rain.

Genelyn stood there watching. Rayla turned. "You're just watching?! Will anyone come with me?"

No one replied. Ellis ran forward. "Rayla, we'll go."

Rayla shook her head. "No. You stay here and make sure nobody gets hurt. I'm going after them."

I try to change her mind. "Rayla, let us come. Or stay here, we'll go. You just had a concussion."

She threw up her hands. "Every fiber in my body is telling me this is wrong. I need to go after them."

I remember with a twinge of sadness, the first time she said that. She went after a dragon, and Callum went to save her.

It was the first and last time my brother had used Dark Magic.

Ellis didn't look at me. "Go." Rayla didn't wait. She sprinted into the rain. I nearly laughed. She was Naruto running. Like she always did. This seemed so normal, but everything was messed up. We were in a whole other world!

Ellis sidled over to me and squeezed my hand. "Ezran. Ez. She'll be fine."

I sigh. "Yeah. But will we?"

She looks confused, and my heart jumps. She looks so cute when she's confused. "Ez, what do you mean? Of course we will."

"It's just... In this world, we're teenagers, and nearby. In Xadia, we're kids."

Ellis checks to make sure we're out of hearing range. "Yeah. We are."

"It's just... Ellis..."

"Ezran..." She says right back, teasingly.

"Ellis, I... I love you." Did I say that?!?!

Ellis looks up at me, her dark eyes stormy and beautiful. "Ez... You get that I'm 11 years old, right?"

I laugh slightly. "Yeah, I know."

"You get that the fate of Xadia is on us, right?"

"I know. Let's just... Leave this for the future."

Ellis nods, and Ava looks at me skeptically. I swear, that dog is judging me.

It seems like hours, but it's really only been 15 minutes. Ellis and I talked about using this to talk about Xadia to Callum and Rayla, so we could go back. We gave up. What happened to them?

The door swung open. Ellis and I glanced up hopefully. Callum and Rayla walked inside. But something isn't right. Callum looks shocked, and Rayla's eyes are unfocused. They're holding hands, and both of their eyes are downcast.

"What happened?" Ellis asks softly.

Callum shakes his head and goes to dry off. Rayla bites her lip. "Ez... Ez, I didn't mean to. I... I killed him."
