Toni Topaz POV

The little light that filled the room hit my eyes directly, making me frown.  Where I was?  I sat on the bed and looked around, without recognizing the environment.

I rubbed my temples trying to remember what had happened the night before, but everything was pitch black.

I heard my cell phone in the distance and scanned the place, looking for it.

I found my purse just a few steps away from me and squinted at the screen, seeing Veronica's name on the display.

"Hello?"

"My God, where are you?!"

"I really wish I could answer."

"Toni, Marjorie and the bank's shareholders will arrive in an hour!  I confess that I'm dying to know who you left that bar with last night, but now I need you to fly here!"

"But, Ronnie, I have no idea where I am."

"Then call a taxi, turn around!",The call was ended and I snorted with irritation, hated it when she hung up on me.

I rubbed my face to get a better focus on the room and couldn't recognize anything.

In fact, it wasn't a motel or hotel room, too tidy.

I got up with difficulty and noticed that I was naked.

Not this one.  I remember being at Charleston's, but after four brandy's, my memory was erased.

I started to collect my clothes and got dressed in a hurry, at the same time, the bedroom door opened and a woman wearing only a dress shirt came in, holding two mugs.

"Good Morning."

The brunette opened a wonderful smile and I felt naked. More than it already was.

"I didn't know how you liked your coffee, so I made it a little weak."

"Yeah ... me ... thanks."

"You .. we .. how .."

"Oh my God, don't you remember anything that happened yesterday?"

I stared at the mug and heard her laugh resounding in the room, it was familiar.

"Sorry, I thought I would be aware of everything that happened."

"Hmm.. everything?"

"Toni, you know we had sex, don't you?"

"But .. I don't know who you are!"

"Of course you know! We talked all night at Charleston's, I play piano in Gus' band.

"Gus?!"

"The vocalist of the jazz group that performed yesterday ...Wow, you have real alcoholic amnesia."

"Look, you look very nice, but I'm a little late and confused."

I started to dress faster than before, accompanied by the malicious look of the woman.

"Do you know where I can get a taxi?"

"While you get dressed, I'll call one.  You can have your coffee, I swear I won't tamper with it."

"I don't .. - I'll be right back."

The woman closed the bedroom door and left me alone again.

I stood with one leg of jeans on and the other on the floor.

So we had sex and I don't even remember ?!  What a mess, Toni! At least she is beautiful.
