I want you to pay attention here, please. I know that many do not like the character Marjorie, but I will say that that she is essential to the story. I repeat that 'Our Reflection' is not a fairy tale and that in life real everything is not flowers, there are arguments, fights, intrigues, family problems, hatred between siblings , envy and a thousand other things. So if someone stopped reading Our Reflection because "Ah, it's Marjorie's POV, what a bag", I'm just sorry, I'll continue to write this story any way I want and she's an essential character, I'm not going to fail to present her thoughts, anxieties and uncertainties because half a dozen don't agree with that. These are words from the original author, and I thought it would be important to leave them here too. That's it. As you have been told from the beginning, this story is not a fairy tale. Anyway, let's go to the chapter. Enjoy :)

Toni Topaz POV

My mother once told me that in certain family matters we should not meddle, let alone if the family is not ours.

Unfortunately, I had a bad habit of confusing a teacher's affection with something more intimate and ended up taking the pains of Theo's disappearance.

After Cheryl called me desperately from the airport, I was thinking of all the possible ways to help her.

"It won't be easy, I have no idea where to start,"

I told myself as I chewed the tip of a pen in the château's office.

"Knock knock, bitch."

Moo Veronica's voice expanded across the room and she entered, looking at me with a curious expression.

"What is happening? Why did you leave that way at the end of Mel's presentation?"

"Cheryl called me."

"And this is a reason for you to abandon a recital because ..."

"Mark sent a message to her warning that he was going to disappear with Theo", Veronica, who until then was upset by my carelessness towards Melissa, had to sit down, "He wants half a million dollars."

"How is this possible?! Is the bastard using his own son to get money? Why doesn't Cheryl call the police?"

"Do you think that German is stupid? He said that if she gets ready, she can find a way to get rid of the boy once and for all."

I dropped the pen on the table and started to massage my temples, feeling my neurons frying.

"I'm trying to think of something to help you, but I can't."

"Do you want an advice? Don't get involved."

"Are you crazy?! Why not?"

"This is a big dog fight and in the middle of those two, you are just a miniature pinscher. I seriously worry about what's been going through your head these days."

"Nothing is going through my head, Veronica."

I took a deep breath to try to relax my body and she got up, starting a massage on my shoulders.

"I'm upset for Cheryl, you know? Theo is all she has."

"How do you know that? You are very close to her."

"We just talked, we're good friends."

"Honey, good friends are you and me. You relationship with Cheryl has already gone beyond the term "good friends"."

She made quotation marks with her fingers and I laughed in disbelief.

"I know you well, Antoinette."
