Cheryl Blossom POV

"So, what do we have?"

"It's a simple house, Mrs. Blossom."

Yan turned on the projector and the image of a house on the lake appeared, made of wood and with a certain charm.

"They're not charging too little."

"How much?"

"Three million."

"What?!"

My cry expanded across the meeting room and some of the shareholders huddled in their chairs.

"Those old men are crazy! This house is not worth all that."

"But what do we do then?"

"Look, I need this land, it is very well located. Think of something, Yan, you are the genius behind the impossible negotiations."

"Actually, I ...", Before Yan completed his sentence, we heard a crash outside the conference room.

I frowned, curious at the situation, and got up from my chair, making my way to the door.

As soon as I put my hand on the handle, someone on the other side pushed hard, causing the tip of the wood to collide with my lower lip, causing a shallow but painful cut.

"What the hell is going on here?!"

"Where is she, Cheryl?!"

"Who are you talking about, Marjorie?! By the way, who gave you the right to invade my company and enter the room like that during a meeting?! Charlotte!"

I shouted for the secretary and a young brunette appeared with her head down.

"Can you explain to me what this lady is doing here?!"

"She said it was urgent, Mrs. Blossom, not counting the resemblance and ..."

"I don't pay you a good salary to allow people 'like me' to invade my office."

I gave up Joana for you and I'm disappointed with your incompetence. It's in the eye of the street.

"Cheryl, don't be so hard on the girl."

"Shut up, Marjorie, I'm the one who gives the orders here. Okay, Charlotte, go back to your cubicle and stay there until you're asked. As for you, dear sister, come with me."

I turned my attention to the group of men who looked at me with curiosity, alternating their astonishment between me and my sister.

"Gentlemen, resolve the situation at the Grefington cabin, I want a result in two hours. Excuse."

I pulled Marjorie by the arm and we walked side by side to my office.

I opened the door and gave way to her, who started to walk in circles.

I didn't care much about her apparent anxiety, I just poured myself a glass of wine and sat on the chair, waiting for her to open her mouth at once.

The moment I felt the sweet liquid touch my bruised lip, Marjorie's voice spread across my room like a scream.

"How dare you?"

"Pardon?! I think I got lost. What you mean?"

"Duh Toni. You went to drop your poison on her, didn't you?"

"I repeat that I have no idea what you're talking about."

"I went to look for her at the château to settle some matters of the recital and Veronica told me that she traveled to Miami, coincidentally, shortly after having a little discussion with you."
