Pippa's POV:
The distant chatter in the bar settled me, but it just wasn't enough to make me at least a little happy.
I'd recently been asked out on a date by a guy I'd met at the park.
It was now 15:30, so he was half an hour late. I rested my cheek on my hand, sighing a little.
Me: where are you
Me: it's 3:30
Me: you could've just told me you weren't coming
Ben🥰😋: you really thought I'd go on a date with you 😂
Seen at 3:31pm
I sighed again, tears pricking in my eyes. I shut off my phone, shoving it in my purse and began to gather my things to leave.
"Excuse me luv. You seem a little distressed. Is there anything I can help with?" A soft voice offered. I looked up to meet a pair of piecing green, emerald eyes. A warm smile was shot down at me and his gaze averted to the empty seat.
He was extremely attractive. Like I mean it. God like.
"Stood up, huh?" He sighed sadly.
"Heh, yeah. Unfortunately." I smiled, a little bit hurt inside but enjoying the company. He smiled back, taking the chance to slide himself into the empty seat.
"Well my name's Harry, it's good to meet you. What's your name?" He asked.
"Pippa. It's nice to meet you too Harry." I chuckled.
"I'm sorry you got stood up. It's happened to me before." He said, making a funny face.
"What? A guy like you had been stood up? I don't believe it." I laughed.
"Why?" He said, tilting his head.
"Well, not to be weird or anything. But you're handsome, I don't see why someone would stand you up." I said, my cheeks heating up.
"Oh sweetheart, people will just assume stuff about you by your looks, and first impressions. It's honestly not nice." He sighed.
I nodded and looked down at my hands, feeling a smile creep onto my face.
"How about I fill in for your date? I mean, I know we've just met, but I feel really bad, plus I want to get to know you better." He offered.
I looked up at him, grinning. "Well, 'Prince Harry', I accept your offer." I giggled.
He brushed his hair back with his fingers, laughing slightly.
Once a waiter saw that he was sat with me, they came up to us. "Ah! Is this your date that finally showed up?" She said.
"Oh no, I'm just filling in for that douche, he hasn't shown up yet." Harry said, laughing.
"Aw, that's sweet. Are you two ready to order?"
Throughout the unexpected pop-up date, me and Harry got to know each other a lot. Turns out he was in a band, that's where I had recognised him from.
We have really similar interests, too, happily.
"Well, Harry. I really appreciate you doing this for me." I laughed, as we walked hand-in-hand out of the café.
"I had a great time filling in for whatever that douche's name was." He joked.
"Ben. What an actual loser. Ben is like the worst name." I laughed.
"Agreed. Do you mind if I get your number?" He asked nervously. "I supposed I owe it you after how you helped. Here, just type it in." I chuckled changing him my phone. He smirked up at me, starting to type his phone number in.
As he handed it back, he made a point, "We should make unexpected plans like this again."
"Good idea, Harry."
He put his name in my phone as "Harry The Hottie 😍🦋"
I chuckled, shaking my head and hugging him. "Thanks for today Harry. I hope to see you soon."
"Yeah, me too. Cya Pippa." He grinned as we parted ways.
