Alexander's POV
“He what?!” My mom shouted furiously making echoes sound through the halls of the mansion.
“Mom, it isn't a big deal. It was just a glass of water.” I responded but she just got more furious.
“It's not a big deal for you but it is for me! A glass of water being spilled "purposely" on my son is not okay for me.” she really emphasized the "purposely" part. “And you know what, I'm gonna go talk to the school right now.” she stated making my eyes grow wide.
“Mom, don't. That wouldn't be necessary.” I tried to stop her but she just faces me.
“Alexander, this is not okay. It even looks like you've been abused there. I'm going to talk to the school management.”
“Mom, listen to me.” I started and she complies. “I'm not abused there. They even gave me a locker the day after I showed up in school for free. And second, the school isn't responsible for my actions, you know. And third, if Roman finds out that I told the school about this, it would be just worse.” I ended and mom just nods in understanding.
“Yeah, you're right.” she stars. “Maybe I was just too overprotective.”
“No, you're not overprotective. You're just doing what's best for me.” I stated. And she draws near me and gives me a big hug.
“Are you ready for our dinner tomorrow?” she asks. I nod an answer
“Alrighty then. Tell Isaiah that dinner is at 5” she informs me and I just smiled and hugged her.
“Now go to sleep. You don't wanna be late for school tomorrow.” she said and I ran towards my room when she says something that made me stop at my tracks.
“Oh, and Alex” she starts.
“Yeah?” I replied
“Stay away from that Roman as possible, okay?”
“I will”
And with that, I ran towards my room and collapsed on my bed.
I picked up my phone and started to text Isaiah.
Me: Hey!
Isaiah: Hey, how are you?
Me: I'm great. And you? How's your cold?
Isaiah: Well, I'm feeling better now. Cold's almost gone.
Me: That's good to hear.
Isaiah: Yeah. Anyways, any reason why you're texting?
Me: Oh yeah, right. Mom said that dinner tomorrow is at 5.
Isaiah: Copy that.
Me: And don't be late.
Isaiah: I won't miss it.
And with that, our conversation ended. I went to sleep after that and waited the morning to come.
Isaiah's POV
Me: I won't miss it.
Just then that, I wasn't expecting more of a reply from the other line. It was nice having a conversation with Alexander today since I didn't see him the whole day because of the freaking cold I caught.
Just after a few minutes, my phone buzzed making my phone lit up. As soon as I saw the contact, I hesitated a bit before answering it but ended up pressing the green button.
“Hey, what's up?” I said.
“Hey, well I have to tell you something.” Zander spoke at the other side of the line.
“Continue” I replied
“It's about Alex”
“Yeah? What about him?”
“Dude, you should have seen him earlier. He looked horrible.” He replies and I have the rush of all worry, concern and sadness towards Alex.
“What happened?” a mixture of worry and concern rushed out of my tongue.
“I saw him earlier in the cafeteria. He was sitting all alone at your usual seat. Moments later, Roman's group just appeared in front of him circling around him. They said things that could've embarrassed Alex. Then after saying those things to him, each of them grabbed a hold of glasses filled with water then they slowly spilled them on Alex. until he was totally drenched. He really looked hopeless.”
I tightened the grip on my phone hearing those words from the other end of the line. I gritted my teeth to the anger that was slowly crawling on my veins.
“He'll pay for this.” I said in pure anger.
“Okay dude, just hoping that Alex will be alright. I think he had a cold. Poor kid.” And just that, the line went silent.
How dare that piece of shit! He doesn't have the right to pour water to Alex just that. He'll pay for this!
Upon hearing at my own thoughts, I felt as if anger was slowly crawling upwards my body releasing steam from my head. Anger that felt as if I'm going to hell.
Wait 'till I see that asshole.
And with that, I laid on my bed closing my eyes waiting for the sun to rise the next day
Alexander's POV
I woke up with the same cool breeze from yesterday. Still seeing those crying drops from the sky sliding down my window pane.
I dragged myself from my bed and to the bathroom. Seeing my overly tired face on the square mirror hanging on the wall, I can see that my hair really needs grooming. It looks so over the place.
So much for grooming, I decided to take a bath. Letting the cold water run down to my sleepy skin giving me the energy to wake up for the day.
As soon as I head out of the bathroom and got changed, I head downstairs to feed my crying stomach.
As I reach the kitchen, I saw a small paper laying on the counter next to the plate of omelettes and rice.
Looking at the paper, it wrote
Hey baby! Sorry I won't be able to join you today for breakfast or even drive you to school. My boss called me for some important reasons about the company. I'll be home by dinner tonight.
– Mom
Oh yeah. Damn, I forgot about the dinner later with Isaiah.
Great, so I have to walk myself to school then.
Eating the omelettes mom made me, I quickly head out once I finished.
Walking towards the school was not so bad after all. I had time to be able to talk to myself and think about things. Maybe I should do this more often.
Reaching the school, I quickly walked towards my locker searching for my music book.
As I grabbed the heaviest book the school has, I went to my first subject class.
As I arrived the door frame, I can see Isaiah's body frame. He looked very much crossed, until he saw me. He walked very quickly towards me with eyes that was really crossed and with a slight red-colored head, hands clenched up in a fist.
“Where is he?!” he said in a rather harsh tone. Okay, in a very angry tone.
What? Who?
I furrowed my eyes in confusion to who-knows-who-is-he-talking-about.
“Where. Is. HE?!” He said one more time. Only this time, he was more angrier.
Who- Oh no. He could've known. But, how? How did-? Oh, no.
