Alexander's POV
I woke up with the sudden light blinding my eyes making it hard to open fully. As my eyes were now focused on my surroundings, I put on my glasses to fully process my environment.
Then it hit me. I wasn't in my room. I roam my head to see that I was in a small, white room rested very comfortably on the hospital bed. I glanced at my arm to see that it was injected and connected to the dextrose hanging on a stand beside me.
Shit, did I just pass out?
Soon, I heard the flushing of the toilet and saw Tyler stepping out of the bathroom. When his eyes landed on me, he immediately walked closer to me.
"Oh, you're awake now." he said and I nodded.
"How are you feeling?" he asks and I kept quiet. "I heard that you can talk." he pauses for a bit before he continues. "From the incident yesterday night, I heard that you let it all out while facing Roman. Is it true?"
Wow, rumors really spread quickly.
I nod at him honestly because there was no point in hiding it from him. Or everyone.
"So, how'd you feeling after that... Commission?" he asks.
"I-" I started but was cut off because of my husky voice.
"Wait, stay there. Let me get you some water. You don't want to ruin that voice of yours." he stated. Nodding, he went up to leave the room.
Once I heard the door shut, I relaxed myself on the comfy bed with a sigh. Soon after, I can feel the door click open.
"He's awake!" I hear an all too familiar voice from the door. Then a few sounds of feet colliding with the floor which tells me that they're running and by means of "they" I mean my friends slash gang.
How I love these guys. I chuckled at the thought.
"Hey, Alex." Isaiah said in a comforting tone. I smiled at him warmly. I look over to his side where Zander and Blake stood. They simply waved at me and I smiled at him back.
"Where's Tyler?" He asks looking around to look for the guy but to no avail. "I told that guy to not leave you alone. When he gets back, I'm gonna-" and just in time... Tyler stood there by the door way with a bottle of water on his hand.
"Oh, you're here already?" Tyler said once he entered the room.
Isaiah crossed his arms at him, "I thought that we agreed on this." he said raising his eyebrow.
"Sorry man, I just had to get him some water." Tyler reasoned raising the bottle on his hands.
"But we still agreed on this." Isaiah retorted back.
"Isaiah, Alex was thirsty. I couldn't just stay put and let him thirst." Tyler's reply made Isaiah speechless. "Plus, his voice was husky so I just had to bring him some water."
"Woah woah, wait. Alex is mute right?" Zander asked confused. We all nod towards him. "How come there's this "voice" thing that's included about him?"
"I guess we let Alex explain everything. I mean, everything he's comfortable opening up with. We don't want him to share something he's not comfortable yet." Tyler concluded and we all just nod.
"Alex? Is it okay for you to share it with us?" I nod at Isaiah's question. "Okay, we'll wait."
After a few minutes of silence, they seem to be awkward with the current environment.
"Why isn't he speaking?" Blake said.
"See, I told you." Zander blurt out.
I look towards Tyler and made a grabby gesture with my hands telling him that I need the water. He then look towards his hand to see the water bottle still on his hand.
