Chapter 19 - Game On!

Alexander's POV

I woke up the next day not with the sound of my alarm but the sound of Jericho from outside my room.

“Young master, you need to get up now. Your mother is gonna be crossed.” he says from the other side of the wooden wall with a knob. I just ignored his morning  announcement.

“Oh, I think I remember a special event today coming up.” he says and I can sense the smirk creeping on his lips.

You little piece of shit.

I chuckle at my own thoughts. Got up and took the shower. After taking a shower and got dressed into something pleasant, I walked outside my room to see Jericho at my doorstep.

I can't believe I almost forgot about Isaiah's game today.

Walking passed the doorstep, Jericho gave me a warm smile.

“Good morning young master.” he greets and I smiled back and just nodded my head in response.

“Breakfast is ready.” he says and I mouthed a "I'll be there" and with a quick nod, he goes away. Probably doing something a butler does.

With a little bit of preparing, I went to the kitchen and there, I saw my mom already sipping coffee from her mug.

“Oh, Good morning sweetheart.” she greets once she saw my figure came into view. I mouthed a "good morning too" and went towards her and hugged her.

“I'm off to work now, okay? Jericho will be your assistant today and take care on the way to Isaiah's game!” with a last kiss on my forehead, she went outside of the house and got inside her car towards work.

After my breakfast, I went to find Jericho and told him I will be going out now. After his confirmation, I went out he road and went towards the basketball court.

Once I arrived, I went to find an empty seat and luckily, I saw Kelly sat beside the empty seat on the front row. Once caught my appearance, she happily waved at me and signaled me to go seat beside her. I went closer to her and she smiled at me once I sat on the reserved seat.

“Hello Alex! How have you been? You alright?” she asked me exaggeratedly. I nodded at her.

A boy walked in and sat beside Kelly with a box of snacks in hand and sat beside Kelly on the other vacant seat.

“Oh, babe. You're so sweet. Thank you.” she greets her and pecks his lips. “Oh, Alex I would like you to meet my boyfriend, Jerome.” she introduced the blond boy and he smiled at me helding a hand for me to shake.

“Hey!” He greets shaking my hand. “Jerome” he introduced himself. I smiled and mouthed my name.

“You're the new student right?” I nodded at his question. “Dude, you're so talented like... very talented. Almost as talented as Damien.” he said. I mouthed a 'thank you' as a precious thanks for his compliment.

Ahhh, Damien Starks. I knew him. Partly.

“Anyway, all in all, you're a great pianist.” I smiled at his comment and nodded.

“Now shhh guys. The game's about to start.” Kelly said stuffing a handful of popcorn in her mouth.

Just as she finished her sentence, the group of players went dashing and running towards the court. And from there, I caught my sight on a tall brunette boy running energetically towards the court along with his teammates.

The game started with a small gap. Scoring 16 - 19 in favor of the enemy team. It went very fun watching it.

Yeah, especially when your hottie is playing.
