Isaiah's POV

Waiting for Alex to finish getting his things out, a phone call came sounding from my phone. Immediately picking it up, A voice from a familiar person came sounding towards my ear drums.

“Hey, dude.” Tyler spoke at the other side of the line.

“Hey, what's up?” I replied however.

“Uhh, you left your ball here. Might wanna pick it up.”

“Where are you?”

“I'm at Mr. Parker's classroom. Meet me there.”

“Okay, dude, coming. Thanks” I thanked him. And the line went off.

Turning to Alex, I asked him my question.

“I have some things to manage. Can you manage to get to class? I'll be there soon.”

With a firm nod coming from the boy beside me, I waved him a see-you-later wave which likewise, he did the same.

Running upstairs in record time, I managed to meet Tyler at the venue he murmured earlier.

Seeing him holding my ball, he did a few "show off" moves before giving it to me.

“Here ya go, man” throwing the ball, I managed to catch it.

“Thanks dude.” I replied.

“No problem.” he said. Waving me goodbye.

“See you later at practice!”

“You too!”

Just as I was about to go back downstairs, I went passed the men's bathroom and my ears heard a familiar voice. Getting the familiar voice, I quickly took a slow peek through the bathroom dooe and I saw Roman, with his boys. Trying to talk about something. Lending my ears on the door, I heard their conversation.

“Okay, guys. So the trick worked. Alex forgave me... Or did he.” hearing the last words the came out from Roman, it earned laughs from his companions.

“So what now boss?” a voice from his minions bubbled out.

“Now, we give Alex something he will never forget.” hearing the conclusion behind Roman's voice, made me quiver in anger as to what he did to the poor boy.

This is bad. I have to warn Alex.

Not able to finish their conversation, I managed to ran downstairs quickly and into the next classroom.

Entering the classroom, I saw Alex talking with Kelly. No, I mean Kelly is the one talking and it seems like, Alex is having a good time with her.

Getting behind the girl, Alex looked at me which, of course Kelly did the same. And on seeing me, she quickly stood up and was about to go back to her usual seat.

“Oh, sorry. Here's your seat. Thanks Alex! See you sometime!” she bid Alex goodbye before going back to her seat.

Turning my face to Alex, I worriedly stare at his green eyes which he stared at me with the serious expression.

“Alex, listen. I have to do something important.” I started.
“Earlier, I-” My words got cut off with the sound of our teacher's greeting.

“Good morning, class!” he says.

“Good morning, Mr. Jones!” we said in unison.

“Guess I'll have to tell you later then.” I ended. With a nod as his answer, I simply understand that it was a "yes".
