Alexander's POV

It has been a great two weeks since I was discharged  from the hospital and I have to admit, I am feeling a lot better and better. Although there were times that I would feel nauseous and that I'm still unable to go to school because I still have to make sure I'm really fine before I go back, but other than that, I'm fine. Now that my little home quarantine is finished, I'm now allowed to go to school again. Goodness, who knows how many lessons I have missed.

I'm now inside my car heading towards the school. And once I reached my destination, I got off the car.

“See you at 6 sweetie” my mom smiled at me. And I returned the smile.

“I will, mom. Bye!” I said waving at her and she smiled once again before leaving.

I now was stood at the main gate where everyone else was entering. I don't feel like entering yet. I don't know why I feel nervous about going in.

You'll be fine

I took a deep breath before entering the school. As I was going to take a foot step forward, I heard my name being called.

“Alex!” I turned around to see Isaiah running towards me. I was about to nod at him but then I thought of that night. There's no point of hiding it right now. They all know that I can speak.

“Hey, Saiah!” I greeted back smiling.

I really can't get enough of that freaking smile.

“How are you feeling? Aren't you supposed to be resting?” I chuckled slightly at his question.

“Isaiah, I'm fine. It's already been two weeks and I'm really worried about the lessons that I missed. If I stayed at home, I would drop out.” I explained to him and he nods.

“So, shall we?” He offered. I nodded at him.

We walk inside the academy and luckily, it's Monday. Meaning, Isaiah and I have almost the same classes for the whole day. Since that we arrived a bit early, we roamed the school area first. While doing that, we talked about a lot of random things. Favorites, likes, dislikes, hobbies, allergies, and sports.

All of a sudden both our phones made a "ding" sound. Notifying us that there's a message. No doubt that it's from the group since that mine and Isaiah's phone both sounded.

I reached for my phone in my pocket and opened that message.
And I what do you know, it was the group chat.

Zander: meet up at the gate after school guys.

I looked up after seeing the message and glanced at Isaiah which he returned the favor and glanced back at me. He then looked back at his phone and typed something.

What is he typing now?

A few seconds later, my phone "dinged" a few times revealing new message notifications.

Isaiah: Yeah, sure. I guess I'll see you guys at five.

I don't think the gate is the best meeting place. Opening the text message, I typed a few words and once I was done, I pressed send

Me: let's meet up at my place. The gate isn't a great place to discuss something. People might hear what we're saying. And I'm sure my mother won't mind.

Zander: Why would they even care? And besides, it's just a small discussion. But if you insist, why not?

Looking up again, I can see the shock on Isaiah's face.

“You sure about this?” he asked. I nod at his question. He then went to his phone and typed.

Isaiah: Then it's settled. We'll meet you guys at the gate and Alex will lead us to his house by 5.

After a few seconds, a few more messages was heard because of the continues dinging of our phones.

Tyler: Would you three cut it out? I'm in class and you three just makes noises.

Blake: (2)

I chuckled at the comment of Tyler and Zander which Isaiah joined too. After that short moment, I realized it was really time to go since that more and more students are entering the school so that means it's almost time for class. I signaled Isaiah to go with me to our lockers which he obliged and while we were walking, we talked a little bit more. We were now walking on the hallways of our lockers where it was blank empty. But it didn't stop us from talking and laughing making our voices echo around the hallway.

“So, as I was saying–” Isaiah says but was cut off by a noise.

“Alex!” an all too familiar voice echoed through the hallway accompanied by footsteps which means that he is getting closer. Yes, you are right. He is a boy.

As I look at Isaiah, I can sense the tense he's feeling. And when the owner of the voice finally came inti view, I'm literally saying Isaiah's almost filled up. I don't even know when or how is he going to blow up but I know that one slight move from Roman would light the bomb up.

Roman came closer and as he went closer, I can feel Isaiah tensing up even more. Looking down, I can see how his hands turn white from forming them into balls.

When Roman took a few more steps forward, Isaiah really didn't have it. He forcefully steps forward but I was swift enough to catch his arm before he starts a fight.

Goodness it's just 7:30 in the morning and here's another fight

“What do you want, Roman?” Isaiah growled.

“I just wanna–”

“What? Place another trick on Alex and embarrass him in front of the whole academy?” Isaiah asked furiously. I rubbed his back trying to calm him down.

What? It's the least I can do. I'm a student, not a doctor. A few more back rubbing and he finally calmed down. Well, at least

“What is it do you want now, Roman?” I asked a bit serious but calm.

“Can I talk to you for a second?”

“No!” Isaiah replied. I now elbowed him and make him face me. “Are you really going to believe him? After all he's done?”

“Trust me on this one.” I whispered.

“Okay. Call me if you need anything.” I nod at him.

“Okay, Roman you have 15 minutes.” I said a bit demanding.

“Come.” he says and walks away. So I followed hum until we ended up in an empty classroom.

He closes the door behind him and now looks really nervous. Then after a few minutes, I was shocked at his sudden action.

After he paused, he suddenly knelt down in front of me. I can hear sobs of cries he was feeling.

Wow, so much for being the best.

“Alexander, I'm really really sorry for what I have done. I should've think first who or what would be the result of my act before I perform it.” he said crying.

After a short moment, he was now walking with his knees and hugging mine. I was really shocked.

I couldn't just let him be like that so I motioned him to stand up and explained everything to me. He wiped the tears in his eyes but he was still in tears.

Shit, you look like you were really hurt.

“Roman, tell me what you have to say.” I said sitting on a vacant chair in the classroom.

“I-I'm really sorry.” He said in between sobs.

“I know. But I can't just forgive you without any particular reason. Now if you really want me to forgive you, tell me everything I need to know and wish that this explanation is valid.” I said in a demanding tone.

He took a sniff and wiped the remaining tears in his eyes and cheeks and was ready to speak. He took a deep breath before explaining everything to me.
