Isaiah's POV
I never knew that the person I sent to his home would live in a huge mansion like that. My new classmate, my new friend, would be living in a mansion four houses away from me.
I enter our drive way and opened the front door.
As I enter the simple but not so big house which I call home, I get greeted by smiles from my so called 'family'.
Oh, how I love these people.
“How was school, hon?” my mother asks as she and sat on the couch watching TV with her hands wrapped in my father's arm.
“Good, I met a new classmate of mine. He's cute tho.” I respond with a smile.
“That's good, Isaiah” my father responds.
“He's also mute, but we had fun communicating with each other.” I replied earning confused expressions from their faces.
“How did you even do that?” my mom asks
“Well, I do the talking and he does the reacting” I responded which made them nod and turn back to what they were doing.
I walk upstairs to my room but got stopped by my brother who was in his room on his laptop and his door open.
“So, you got a new friend, eh?” he asks
“Yep” I replied with a grin on my face.
“I'm guessing he'll be a great sex partner” he replied with his eyes above his glasses and a wide grin on his face.
“Calvin! Language!” my mom shouts from downstairs.
He chuckled and I just rolled my eyes at him continuing my journey towards my room.
That crazy boy from the other room is my older brother, Calvin. He's my nerdy but awfully nice older brother.
As I reached my place of comfort, I lay down on my bed and scrolled on my Facebook.
I searched Alex's name and added it to my list of sent requests. After a few minutes, he accepted my friend request.
That was quick
I went on my messenger and typed him a message ignoring the annoying people who messaged me to just get noticed.
Pffft. Pathetic.
Me: Hi!
Alex: Yow, wuzzup!
Me: Nothing much, just checking on you.
Alex: Damn, man you give me shivers. I'm fine. All's good at the meantime.
Me: Good to know.
Alex: Why?
Me: Pardon?
Alex: I mean why'd you messaged me?
Me: Well, I just wanna know how'r you doing.
Alex: Oh, okay. Like what I said, I'm fine. And you? How'r you by the way?
Me: Yeah, typical. I'm also fine for today. I mean, I'm just bored here y'know.
Alex: Try something you do for fun.
Me: If it includes playing the guitar, I'm out. My fingers are still red and in the process of healing, remember?
Alex: Well, that was what I was about to say. Playing the guitar is always my way of finding fun when I'm bored. Reminds me of my father.
I got curious about his response. Is something wrong about him? I wish to know but it's in him if wanna talk about it. If he's comfortable with it.
Alex: Oh, forget it. I didn't mean to spit that part out.
Me: Well, we could talk about that if you're comfortable about it.
Alex: Maybe, some other day.
Me: Oh, okay.
Man, I was really looking forward to talking about that message of his. But I can't force him. He's having trust issues. I'll just wait until he's comfortable talking about it.
“Isaiah, dinner!” my mom called from downstairs.
“Coming!” I replied
Me: Alex, I have to go. Mom just called dinner. See you tomorrow then.
Alex: Yeah, me too. My mom just called dinner too. So, see you at school then.
Me: See you! <Heart emoji>
“Isaiah, I'm coming in your room and if you don't come out their at the count of three, I'm confiscating your phone.” My mom warned.
Just as I hear footsteps at my front door, I rushed outside my room to greet me with a pissed off glare.
“Hi mom” I greeted with a smile.
She furrows her eyebrows giving me a death glare. My mom's glares are the deadliest. Everyone in the house especially my father is afraid of her because of her death glare. One time, my father forgot their anniversary and rushed to make a simple dinner for two when he actually forgot about it while decorating the backyard as a place for their anniversary and accidentally burned the food. Damn, my mom got really mad that time. But what calmed my mom down was when dad surprised her with his decorative backyard as an anniversary present. And for the food, they just ordered pizza as their main course.
“Come now, dinner's ready” she said.
I followed her downstairs watching them already sat on their respective seats.
I sat with them on the table and ate my dinner.
After that, I head towards my room and when I was half way there, the door from the other room opened revealing a tall nerd in a blue shirt and green pajamas.
“Careful about that friend of yours. You don't wanna go further than that don't you? I'm just warning ya. You know how mom reacts to those sort of things. I'm not actually homophobic and that's not a problem with me. Your problem is them.” pointing down at the two love birds sat on the couch cuddling.
“Your choice, brother. What's it gonna be?” I give him a simple "thanks" and head towards my room.I placed my head on my bed and started thinking about what Calvin just said.
Yeah, he's right. I really like Alex even though we only met this morning. From the time he entered the room, I felt my heart skip a beat. I feel a shiver run down my spine. His perfectly blonde hair, his cute cheeks, his kissable lips. Ugh!!! He's everything you can dream of. Except for the fact that he can't speak. He's also shy but I like shy types. And what made me fall for him even more is how he played that piano elegantly. Man, he's so talented.
There's just one problem, I can't just say it to mom and dad that that easily, they're homophobic people. Gosh. How am I suppose to tell them I like a guy. No worries I'll just find myself a way for this. Right now, I need to put my head in bed and rest because I'm gonna meet Alex tomorrow in class.
So, I placed my head on the soft and feathery pillow and closed my eyes shut and let the darkness take over me.
