Chapter 4

The next morning I arrived at school, still with my car not having a new carburetor installed, and actually feeling rather pissed off about it. I was greeted by Connor waiting by the front gates, as i was actually on time for school this morning. I hadn't seen Ashton yet and to be honest I didn't really want to, It would be way too awkward after yesterday and plus along with that thing he said abut Luke, I just didn't wanna go there. I saw Faith, and her Minyons walk into the school passed Connor and I, gracing us with their glares, I wasn't in the mood to even return one today.

Today was Thursday which meant that it was only two days until Luke's party, I wasn't even sure if i wanted to go anymore after hearing what Ashton had to say about Luke. Speaking of the devil, here he comes now.

"Hey Sam." Luke  said smiling down at me, as i acknowledged his tallness  I noticed Michael and Calum standing behind him but no Ashton.

"Hi." I replied giving him a warm smile.

"I heard you spent 3 hours with Ashton yesterday clearing out the storage cupboard." He said looking down at the floor, it didn't look like he liked talking about the topic of me and Ashton very much.

"Yeah, the door got jammed so we have to wait for Connor to come let us out." I said gesturing to where Connor was standing behind me. Luke gave him a small smile and then looked back to me.

"Oh right ok, well  I'll see you later Sam." He said giving one final warm smile before he walked into the school. Calum and Michael follwed him inside and Calum and I shared probaly what was the most awkward smile in history, by hey at least it was a smile. The first bell rang and me and Connor made our way into the school.

"Right lets go." I said to him as we jumped off the wall we had been sitting on that was just outside the front of the school. We walked in and saw all the populars in there one space but still no Ashton. I made my way to English and walked in to find MrJohnson our annoying ass PE teacher covering our lesson. Connor wasn't in this class with me so i just went and took the seat i fancied as per usual  that was normally near the back somewhere. I was to absorbed looking out the window to even notice Ashton walk in and take the seat next to me.

"Hey Sam." He said with an almost stern but sexy voice making me jump.

"Jesus chr---." I said turning around and taking my focus away from the window.

"Sorry." He said not looking very happy about something but what i couldn't figure out.

"Are you ok?" I asked him cautiously,  as he looked like he could blow up any second. His focus was taken away from me towards the door to where Luke was standing staring straight at Ashton and I.  Ashton straightned himself up trying to make himself look bigger, which i had to admit worked, and i couldn't help to notice that his jaw was clenched super tight. Luke walked in and took the seat on the other side of me. 'Shit!' I though  to myself something had cearly gone down between them two yesterday and honestly i felt like an ant inbetween two boulders. I just sunk into my chair hoping no shit went down.

We where halfway through the lesson and none of us had said a word to eachother, Ashton still looked like he was about to explode and Luke wasn't far off. I decided to intervene, why the fuck did i intervene.

"Ok, what the fuck is going on between you two?" I asked them in a whisper, switching my head between both of them as i spoke. Luke was the first to answer.

"Nothing." He said not even looking at me but looking right over ead, and pretty much burning a hole in Ashton's face.

"Oh really Luke why don't you tell her, come on it's bound to come out sooner or later." Ashton said glaring at him, if looks could kill Luke would be dead right now.
