It was the day of Luke's party. It started at 7:30 so I still had until then to get all the stuff done i had to do today, which meant, I got to go pick up my carburetor. Yes, i know i said that i had to find another one, but see the place i was meant to be picking it up from, my uncle used to run, before he passed away. The man who runs the shop now, Dean, has known he since i was 8 and said that he would hold it for a couple more days, so i could come pick it up on the weekend. I opened the curtains and noticed that it was the most beautiful day, the leaves had just started to fall and the sun was beaming through the trees, still low on the horizon as it was only 8am. I threw on my rolling stones t shirt and light wash jeans i was wearing yesterday. I knew things were gonna get pretty messy at the car garage, but whats the point on going to a old school car garage if your not gonna get messy.

I noticed Benji sitting at my door wagging him tale.

"Are you gonna be a good boy?" I asked him. "Yes I know you are." I said bending down hugging him and giving him a bone that would take him all day to get through so he didn't  eat my boots again.

I got in my car and had a little trouble getting her started. I eventually got there and made my way to  the garage.

When i pulled up, the sweet smell of gasoline filled my nostrills, alot of people think that its weird that i like the smell of gasoline but i had been around it my entire and used to spend my Friday afternoons with my uncle here and it gave me a warm feeling inside whenever i smelt it, like it reminded me of him.

"Hey  Sam!" I heard someone say, i saw Dean walk towards me and embrace me in a warm hug, i hadn't been here since my uncle passed away. I couldn't manage to bring myself back. I stood there for a moment longer, eyes closed embracing my surroundings before finally following Dean into the garage.

"It's been a while, I haven't seen you since---" He trailed off he hadn't seen me since my uncles funeral. I gave him a warm smile that told him i understood and didn't mind talking about it. "So i hear your hear for a carburetor i've  got lying around." My face lit up at the sound of it.

"Yes. I am" Sounding slightly too excited for a 17 year old girl.

"Right well i got one of my boys to find it earlier,  I'm not sure where he put it.." He said scratching his head and thinking for a moment.

"Yo, Dean!" I heard a voice from outside call and Dean acknowledged it.

"I'll just get him to find it for you." He said disappearing to another car someone was already working then walking passed me back outside to where the voice came from. I decided while i waited for someone to get me the carburetor that i would pop the hood and check everything was good. I removed my old carburetor and as i was doing so. I heard a strangely familiar voice sound behind me.

"Well well, you just keep showing up don't you." A strong australian accent spoke behind me. I stayed where i was for a moment frozen in my tracks beofore I finally turned round to reveal Ashton standing in front of me wiping his greasy hands on an already dirty cloth, wearing work jeans and a grey vest which admirably exposed his biceps. His hair fell casually over his forehead and he stood there smiling at me.

"I could say the same thing about you." I said back to him returning the smile, why the fuck did this keep happening.

"When you told me you were picking up a carburetor i didn't know you meant a carburetor from here." He said still looking down at me. He was different away from school, no glares just a constant warm smile, like he had nothing to live up to or nothing expected of him."

"And i didn't know you were into cars, or worked here either." I said to him, we stood there just smiling for a moment, his masculine figure towering over me. I began chewing on my lip, fucks sake not again. He smiled and laughed slightly looking down at his feet before speaking.
