Ashton P.O.V

I'm sitting here in my car, in the rain, just thinking about her. How I've ruined this, how she'll never come back to me. For four hours, I've been sitting here, in the rain, just thinking about her.

Why do I always have to fuck up every good thing I've got going for me. You think my life is so perfect, well it's not. Sam was the only good thing I had going for me in my life right now, first was football, now that means nothing without her. She's gone, and I don't know when she's coming back. I've fucked up my friendship with Luke, this time beyond repair. I can't face my parents, so I just end up back here, where it all started, staring at this lonely café along an abandoned road, the place we first met. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Of course  could never admit that to myself, or anyone at school. I'm the player, remember, 'm the one who fails classes, but makes a laugh out of it, and I'm the one who got the girl, but pushed her away before she even got to me.

I can't fix this. How does someone fix this? It's impossible... It's impossible.

I need to get her back, shut up Ashton, stop feeling sorry for yourself and go and get her back, you love her... You love her?... You love her!

As quick as my hand could turn the key and foot could press the acceleration, I was out of that car park, and on to that abandoned freeway that led to my baby's house. Do whatever it takes Ashton, get down on your knees if you have to, just swallow your pride and do it you fucker. Don't mess this up, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.

---

I got to her door, the girl I love is metres away from me right now. It's pissing down with rain, but I don't care, now just lift your arm up and knock on the door.

*Knock, knock, knock*

one, two, three, four, five, six. Stop holding your breath. eight, nine.

Then the door opened... But it wasn't who you thought it was going to be. Michael?

"Michael?" I said, furrowing my eyebrows, honestly completely confused as to why Michael was in Sam's house.

"Ashton?!" Michael shoved me out the doorway, so we were both in the rain, and closed the door behind him. "Ashton, what are you doing here?" He said, looking panicked and worried.

"I came to see Sam, is she here?" I said looking intently at Michael for answers.

"No, Ashton, you have to get out of here Luke's here, and Connor's kinda pissed." Michael said, trying to push me away from the door, even further more into this fucking rain. But my mind focussed only on one thing that Michael just said, Sam wasn't here.

"What? What do you mean Sam's not here, she has to be here!" I said, grabbing hold of Michael's wrist. She had to be here, she left the café five hours ago.

"She's not here. I figured she went to go find you or something." Michael said, we were both soaking wet now but I didn't care.

"She did find me, but she left like five hours ago, she has to be here!" I shouted now. I barged my way past Michael and into Sam's house. "Sam? Sam? Sam?!" I looked frantically around her house, calling out her name, praying that she told Michael not to tell me she was here. That would've been worse than the alternative.

Suddenly I got to the living room, there I saw Connor, Calum and... Luke. He was lying on the sofa completely beaten shitless. I froze when I saw him. What kind of a monster am I?

I heard Michael come in behind me, and just as I began to process everything Connor came charging towards me and slammed me against the wall behind me.
