Tris's POV

My alarm blares in my ears, and I quickly reach over to cut it off. I lay back down on my pillow with a sigh.

Tobias and I have now been dating for a few weeks, and they have been absolutely amazing. We've been spending time at either mine or his place during the week with Toby, and then we usually get either our parents or the gang to watch him on Saturday nights, so Tobias and I can have a night to ourselves.

Our relationship has been going great. No bad blood. No fights. We're just two young adults in love, raising a child. Now, it almost feels like we were never even apart. We just automatically click when we're together.

So yeah.

Things have been going great. Until about a couple of days ago.

Now, most of the time, Tobias and I have spent our alone time in the penthouses instead of out in public because we wanted our relationship to be private for as long as possible. But we couldn't stay cooped up forever. So for one of our date nights, we decided to go out to see a movie and then eat at a restaurant.

We took all of the precautions we could. We saw a comedy instead of a romance movie. We went to a diner instead of a fancy restaurant. We both wore casual outfits instead of dressing up. And we made sure that we didn't kiss, hug, or hold hands the whole time we were out. We just wanted to make it look like two friends spending the day together.

Well, of course paparazzi pretty much followed us that day since neither one of us has given the media much content since being on break. They were fishing for something, and it just made it better that it involved both of us since all of our fans still haven't gotten over the fact that we're friends.

So that next day, pictures of us out at the movies and the restaurant were all over social media. Most of the comments and talk was just about how we seemed like really close friends, and that everyone wished that we would give them some new music or collab on something since we've been spending time together. There were a few people questioning if there was something more between us, but for the most part, nobody really said much.

Then one day, I was out with Toby alone since Tobias was taking the day to work on his music, and the paparazzi found me once again. I answered a few questions for them, promised that I had been working on some new stuff and that it would be out soon, and carried on with my day. I didn't think much about it until the pictures and articles were released later that day.

They had gotten close-ups of the new promise ring that Tobias gave to me, so pretty much the whole internet was wondering if I was seeing someone. After a lot of online debates, people decided that I most likely was dating someone and then started trying to figure out who. Lots of different names were tossed around, but a lot of our fans were convinced and hoping that it was Tobias.

After that, I was a little stressed out, so Tobias took me to our meadow, and we spent a few hours there to try and get everything off of our minds. When we left, it was late. Like around midnight, so we thought that we were safe. But apparently there were still a few paparazzi milling around, and they got pictures and Tobias and I walking back to his car, smiling and laughing while holding hands.

So if the ring didn't set the internet on fire, those pictures sure did.

Our fans were posting those pictures and their thoughts on the potential relationship every second it felt like. Everyone was absolutely convinced that we were together, and it was everyone's mission to figure out if it was true. Tobias and I couldn't even leave the penthouse without being swarmed by fans and paparazzi.

So the two of us got together with our managers and decided to schedule an interview and announce to everyone about our relationship. Which also meant that we would be telling them about Tobias being Toby's dad.
