"What happened?" I asked coming closer to him. "Their flight was delayed. They're coming by 6:00 pm." He said in a worried tone as I put my hand on my head shaking it.

So that's the reason why he was nodding? He made it look so official like it was a business call or something. What does he even do? I can't believe I've been living with him all this while and not even know what he does for a living. I don't even know his age. I chuckle at the thought.

"What's funny?" Josh asked giving me puzzled look. "Nothing."

"Come on, there has to be some reason why you just laughed."

"If you really want to know just tell me your age and what you do." I say as he looks at me in a very weird way. "I thought your parents must have told you about all of that. And even if they didn't, aren't you meant to ask?"

"No, I see no reason why I would ask them about somebody they just told me to get married to on Tuesday. And FYI, I'm not still out of the shock."

"So? that's not a reasonable excuse." Josh said like his some sort of boss or something. Who does he feel he is. I'm going to have to put this boy in his place.

"Um excuse me, but you never knew my age in the first place and I didn't start making a big deal about it. I just told you right away."

"Just because I asked you of your age doesn't mean I didn't know it."

"Then why ask in the first place?" I say putting my hand on my waist. "To confirm duh."

"What if I told you I am doing the same?" I lie trying to make him say it. It's kinda a thing I used to do to make Ashley say any secret and it always did work.

"Acting smart Miss Ross but believe me I won't fall for that trick." He says as I give a frustrated look.

"Fine winter, if you're so interested in knowing what I do for a living then why don't you ask Max or Edna. They'll tell you."

I wonder what he thinks of his self. What's the big deal in just saying what you do and how old you are. Not like I'm so desperate to know it. The thing is that it's not comfortable to live with someone you know nothing about. I mean, it's not fair. I told him my own age.

"What about your age?" I ask starring at him blankly. "Including the age also. Ask Edna or Max."

"Come on,you know I don't have Max's number."

"What of Edna's, Don't you have it?" He said as I rolled my eyes at how immature the the conversation was getting. "You know what, I give up!" I yell getting back to my room frustrated.

I sit on the bed letting out a huge sigh and starring at the crazy lady painting hanged on the wall. "What you looking at?" I say out loud like the painting could actually talk.

I take out my phone to call Kate. Kate's four years older than me and my closest sister. She's the one who actually kept me company before the useless family tradition thing took her away from me. Emily on the other hand was five years older than Kate so I didn't get to spend much time with her before she left. I don't even know her that much.

It's being long since I actually talked to my sisters. I miss them so much especially Kate. I haven't even told them about how horrible things have been these few days. The phone rings and hopefully she picks.

"Hey deary, It's been a really long time. "So how's my favorite sister doing?" She asks with her usual tiny voice. "I'm good."

"How's mom and dad?"

"They're all fine. How's Jason doing?"

"He's good."

"Well, I'm glad to hear that." I say giving a slight smile "You won't believe what happened." Kate says very loud. "What happened!"

"I'm pregnant! please don't tell mom and dad yet okay, I want to keep it a surprise."

"Omg, you've got to be kidding me. " I say excitedly. "No, I'm serious. It feels so good to know another body is living inside me."

"How did it happen?"

"I started feeling nauseous and feverish so we went to the hospital and then the result said I was pregnant."

"Omg, so I'm gonna have a niece." I say smiling. "Sure thing, that's if it's a girl."

"Is your tummy big?"

"No Winter, not yet. It's just been three weeks since we found out."

"How did Jason react when he found out?"

"You should have seen the look on his face. He was so happy that he even carried me saying I made him the happiest man."

"Oh my God, you're so lucky. I wish I were you." I say honestly. "I know right. But why do you wish you were me?"

"Because mom and dad are forcing me to get married to some British guy named Josh."

"Omg, you're eighteen now, I thought they were going to exempt you from that stuff but apparently they did not. And who's Josh?"

"He's some guy mom and dad said they knew since he was a baby. they said they feel he's the right one for me."

"That's exactly what they told me about Jason too but apparently they didn't know a thing about him. Even though he's the right one for me. There are a lot of things I got to find out about him by myself. I can't believe they want you to marry someone you don't know a thing about."

"Believe me, he was the opposite of what they said. Can you believe doesn't even want to tell me what he does or at least his age."

"Why?" Kate asked in a disgusted tone. "I don't even get him. The first day I met him was a disaster and of course mom was on his side."

"You've got to be kidding me."

"And just because I'm staying with him in his house, he said he'll give me rules."

"What? Mom and dad let you stay in his house?"

"Yeah, Aunt Amber was even ready to send me out of the house just because of....."

"Because of that jerk, what is she still there for? She's meant to have gone by now. It's not even her house. I can't still believe dad was in support of it." She said cutting me off.  "He didn't even call when I was gone."

"A lot has happened since I was away. How could they even not tell me? You know what, I'll be coming on Wednesday Okay? Mom and dad would have a lot to explain when I get there."

"Thanks a lot Kate, you're the best."

"Anything for my little sis."

I hear a knock on the door. "Bye Kate, I've got to go." I say cutting the call. "Who's that?"
