"Hey guys!" I hear a voice from behind just to turn to see Edna. Looking more stunning than the way I saw her the other day. Her dirty blonde hair looking so pretty just like her mom's"Speak of the devil and the devil appears." Kayla said whispering to me as I chuckle."
"Mom!" She said walking really fast to the kitchen. "I missed you so much." She said hugging Kayla so tight. "I missed you too dear." Kayla said as she kissed her forehead. "Oh, where are my manners?" Kayla said putting her hand on her head. "Winter this is Edna, Edna this Winter." Kayla says as she looks at our faces with a confused look. "We've met before mom." Edna said smiling as Kayla let out a sigh. "Oh, I should have known."
"How's Kashton."
"He's good. He had an urgent work that's why he couldn't make it."
"Okay, but I hope he'll come to see us before we go back to London. It's been really long since we saw him."
"Of course he will. I'll make sure he comes one of these days."
"Where's dad?" She asked flipping her long hair to the back. "He's in the room. He'll be out very soon."
"Need a hand there?" Edna asked. "No, I'm fine. You must probably be tired."
"With what?" She asked putting one hand on her waist. "Home work." I said looking confused. I mean isn't she meant to be?
"No dear, I've been craving to do home work for a very long time now but Kashton won't let me. He hired a maid to do all the home work for me. And besides, I don't go to work on Saturdays and Sundays."
Wow, she really is lucky. Her husband's a real sweetheart. Even when I was with my parents, they made sure I did my chores even if I couldn't do it early in the morning before I went to school, they'll make sure I did it when I come back. Any ways, I still prefer my life before this useless family tradition came to ruin it.
"So, do you still need a hand there?" She asked smiling. She really does want to help doesn't she?
"Sure, we could break the eggs together." I said as she happily came to do it.

We finished making the breakfast after an hour. Working with Edna and Kayla was actually fun. It was like working with Kate and mom back when she was nice. I miss those days.
"Wow, this tastes really nice." Tristan said shoving more of the egg benedicts into his mouth. "What doesn't taste nice to you?" Kayla says shaking her head. "rotten eggs." Tristan says as everyone burst into laughter. "Who likes rotten eggs dear?" Kayla says in between her laughter.
"So how has life been without us?" Tristan asked starring at his two kids. "Boring at times, but Kashton always makes sure to make it fun." Edna says shoving another one into her mouth. "How abut you Josh?" Kayla asks starring at him. "Stressful, busy, fun, You know, College life. Mostly busy." Josh says with his eyes on me.
I hate it when people stare at me like that. It makes me feel uncomfortable. Especially when it's Josh. Not that I have any feelings for him but he makes It look so awkward.
"What of Max?"
"Yeah, we hang out some times."
"Okay, that's great. I'm glad to know you guys are still friends."
"I remember those days when he you guys did everything together. You guys were so close. Almost inseparable. Like brothers." Kayla said smiling slightly. "Yeah, I remember that time Clinton threw a giant orange on Josh's head and Max punched him in his eyes in defense. But Gosh, you should have seen Josh's head. It looked like a swollen tomato ready to be bursted." Edna said laughing so hard as everybody laughed along with her.
I wish I could have seen it. It would make me happy when I get sad.
"Mom, you won't believe what happened when you guys were away." Edna says looking at her parents. "What happened dear?"
"Kashton and I went to the Sublimotion restaurant in Spain and we met someone who looked exactly like you mom."
"No, that's not possible." Kayla said not showing any belief at all. "I'm serious, we did. Kashton was so surprised. Like same hair, smile, age and everything."
"There's no way I'm going to believe that."
"I even took a photo of her. But it's in Kashton's phone. I'll show you when he comes." Edna said to earn a surprised look from Kayla.
"Josh, your school would be resuming very soon, I got the message from Chancellor Mike." Tristan said happily. "I already told him dear."
"How comes you always get to be the one telling him all the things first."
"Probably because you never come early." Kayla said smiling "whatever" Tristan said rolling his eyes . "Speaking of college, Winter what are your plan for college." Edna said diverting her attention to me. Why do all of them always ask me that. Well apart from Josh. He seems like the only odd one among all of them.
"I was planning on getting a part time job, and saving up for college before your mom and dad told me not to worry about the fees. They offered to pay it." I say as Josh gives me a really confused look. "Mo...."
"That reminds me Josh, it almost skipped my mind. Your dad and I have decided that since it is Winter's dream to go to Yale, we'll make that dream come true by sponsoring her fees." Kayla said cutting Josh off. "But mom!"
"Is there a problem Josh?" Kayla said drawing her brows closer. "No, but.."
"There's nothing to worry about then. She'll come with you when your school resumes. No buts Josh, she's going to be your wife. You have to treat her well." Kayla said as Josh remained quiet. "Yes ma'am."
"Good. I'll be in my room getting ready to go to Norah's house." Kayla said getting up to her room.
Wow, she's really the right one for Josh. She knows how to tame the shit out of him. Man, that was the first time I ever heard Josh say yes ma'am. But the part I didn't like like is when she said I'm gonna be his wife. I know for sure he isn't the right one for me. When I'm done with college, I'm going to go on with my life. At least then I'll have my say.
"Hmm, lucky you. I think it's gonna cool if the both of you went to the same school. I don't get why you're not cool with it Josh." Edna says starring at the both of us. "Yes, what's up with you Josh?
Tristan stands up to leave to his room leaving me, Josh and Edna. "How could you not tell me this."
"Dude, there's no big deal about it. And besides, you said you'll tell them right?"
"So? you're not me."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I wasn't the one who said you should go for some urgent meeting and sneak into my room late in the night without telling me." I said emphasizing on it with my two fingers. "Guys!" Edna shouts as the place becomes quiet.
"I think it's gonna be cool if the both of you went to the same school. I don't get why you're not cool with it Josh. Gosh do you guys always fight like this? "Edna says starring at the both of us.
"Yes, because Josh always makes everything seem so complex." I blot out glaring at Josh. "You know what, I thought there's somewhere we're meant to be this morning. I think the both of you should go get ready." She says sitting on the couch as Natalia comes to pack the dishes.
Josh walks to his room leaving me and Edna behind. I turn to leave when I hear my name from behind.
