Finding my light

Chapter 6

"Where is this place?" I asked looking Josh straight in the eyes. "you'll see." Josh said as he held my hand softly and went into a small building in the forest." Wow, what made a devil to change into an angel.

The place looks very beautiful. It was decorated with flowers all around it and few string lights. The view from the inside looked even more beautiful. It had cherry blossom wall papers all around the walls. It had an aquarium on the center table and the room was dim lighted. It was small and perfect. 

"Do you like it." Josh asked. "Are you kidding me. I don't just like it, I love it." I said being so sincere. "Why are you being so nice now." I asked giving him a strange look. "I am always nice." Josh said smirking. "Huh, you wish." 

I turned to look where Josh went until I found him putting on music. "Would you give me this dance miss Ross?" Josh asked trying to behave like a gentle that he's not. "Can you for once just quit acting formal?" I say but he doesn't reply. "Is that why you brought me here?"

"Yes, any problems?" Josh asked, his British accent very thick. "No. It just sounds and looks awkward." He took my hands in his and he put the music on. "Wow, I love this song." I said smiling and dancing to the lyrics of the music. "I thought as much." 

"Tell me when the light goes down. That even in the dark we will find a way out. Tell me now 'cause I believe in something. I believe in us."  i sang along with the music.

"You must really love this song." 

"Yeah. Very well. Its my best song. How did you even......." I was cut off when Josh quickly answered. "Edna loves it so I thought you'll like it too." 

"Wow, it's nice to hear someone else loves the music cause my best friend hates it. She says it's too slow and pathetic." 

"Then she doesn't know a good music." Josh said smirking. "Of course she does. She's just a weirdo."
Did he just call Edna a weirdo? I mean has he seen himself? 

"Are you into movies?" Josh asked. "Totally." I replied honestly. "Movies are like a huge part of my life. I mean, who hates them." 

"well, most people think they are a waste of time." 
"You mean people like you right?" I say as he lets out a gentle chuckle

"They are just mistaken it. They give you examples of many life experiences." I said looking at him. "Since you're so interested in movies, why don't we watch one next."

"That would be an amazing idea." 

The music stops playing and I sit on the couch waiting for Josh to put a movie. "What's the name of the movie." 

"Just wait, you'll see." Josh says as he continues what he was doing. I just pray it isn't horror. I've hated horror movies since like forever. Worst is even watching it at night. I wonder why people create it.

Josh puts off all the lights as the movie starts and handing me a bowl of popcorn. "We're watching 'Annabelle'. Hope you're a fan of horror movies." Josh says smirking. I hate it when he does that. What? This boy has totally lost it. How does it expect me to fancy horror. And of all horrors Annabelle?

 Ashley has told me about the movie and I was already having nightmares with just the mare description of the movie much worse watching the movie. "No, no, I hate it. I love all kinds of movies apart from horror movies." 

"Well sorry Winter but it's already too late." Josh said giving me an evil grin. "what?"

The first thing I see is a girl walking in a green light. "No, I can't watch it." I say standing up and going towards the back door. I open it and go outside. The weather was cold and looked really creepy. Well, at least it's better than staying in there to watch Annabelle. I hear a sound from the door as Josh opens it.

"Were you scared?" I asked smirking. "Of course not. I couldn't just afford seeing you stay outside here all alone."

"Wow, since when did you start caring about me staying alone."

"Since now. Cause I'm not ready to face your parents when you get bit by a snake."
"Like they care. Look, why don't you quit acting like an irresponsible teenager who took his girlfriend out on a date." I say with him been taken back by my words.

"Enough Winter, I've had it with you already. I've tried being nice to you but you still keep acting this way. What else do you want."

"Are you honestly saying this? You were the one who started all of it in the first place. And yeah, it isn't working." I say making him clueless.

"What isn't working?"

"You being nice." I snap.

So last night didn't end well with me and Josh as usual and he finally succeeded in making me watch Annabelle because of how annoying he was sorry still is. I squeezed his hand tight and buried my face on my laps when I got scared but when it got to the scariest part, I couldn't help it so I went to bed without completing it. But not before calling Ashley.

I take my phone to chat with Ashley just to be welcomed with plenty messages from her so I just decide to voice call her. Luckily, she picks. "You won't believe what happened today Ash."

"What happened? did you smash his head?"

"No silly, I watched Annabelle." I say feeling like I have just won an award. "Omg, I knew you'll get to watch it sooner or later. so was it interesting?" 

"No. Why would an horror movie ever be interesting?"

"And just when I thought you were getting interested in horror movies Winter." Ash said putting her hand on her forehead in disappointment. "Not like I wanted to watch it. Josh forced me into watching it because he annoyed me and I wanted something scary at that moment."

"I give him a big thumbs up for that one." Ash said chuckling. "Can you believe Josh told me he was going to buy new dresses for me just so I won't disgrace him in front of his parents?" 

"What? He's probably out of his mind. He deserves a big slap on his face." 

"Definitely. I wish I could give him that slap." I said yawning. "Seems like someones had a really long day today." Ash said smiling. "Yeah very long and stressful."

"Good night Winter." 

"Night Ash." I said hanging up.

I put the lights off go to bed.

"Winter! Winter!" 

"Who's there."

"It's me Winter, don't you remember grandma anymore?" 

"Of course grandma, I will never forget you but where are you."  I asked looking around the very creepy abandoned building for my grand mom. "I'm here Winter. Right in front of you but you have to return the doll I gave you first if you really want to see me."  She said laughing in a scary way. "What doll. Wait aren't you meant to be dead."  

I could hear footsteps but I couldn't see anybody walking. "what do you want?" I asked but i didn't hear any reply until I felt a sharp pain on my wrist. "Leave me alone!"
