Ruby's POV

I lied in my bed, waiting for (Y/N) to come back.

I was getting worried.

I'd left him more than an hour ago. I'd been waiting for him since then. I started to wonder if he was going to stay up all night, or if he'd fallen asleep there. I hoped it was the latter.

I heard a knock at the window.

'Thank God!'

I got down from my bed, and I headed to the window.

I saw (Y/N) there in his Spider-Man costume.

I opened the window.

"What took you so long?" I whispered.

He climbed into the room, took his mask off, and placed his hands on my shoulders.

"Ruby! You won't believe it!" he said.

That was when I realized that his suit was... black? I thought it was the shadows, but I definitely didn't see a hint of red or blue on his suit.

"Is it just the shadows... or is your suit... black?" I asked.

"I woke up to find myself in the city, and I was wearing this!" he said.

"Be quiet!" I hissed. "Our teammates!"

"Sorry," he whispered.

"Where did it come from?" I asked.

"I have no idea," he answered. "But it feels amazing!"

I rose an eyebrow. "I don't know about this..."

"It'll be fine," he said. "It's just a suit."

"Are you sure...?" I asked.

"Yeah! I'm just gonna go get the police radio! I'll be right back!"

He leapt out the window.

I watched him go.

'Something's not right...'

(Y/N)'s POV

I walked to the police radio I'd left at the cliff.

I soon spotted it, and as I approached it, I heard a voice.

"She's pretty."

I jumped at the sudden, unfamiliar voice.

"Who's there?!"

"Calm yourself!" the voice shouted.

"Who are you?!" I shouted.

Suddenly, a strange, gooey substance slowly crawled out from the suit's chest, and it formed a creepy face in front of me.

"What the hell... who are you?"

"I am Venom!" the thing said.

"Are you... this suit?" I asked.

"Yes. I have studied you for a few days now, and I have chosen you as a host!"

"Um... okay...?" I was super confused. "And... where did you come from?"

"Another planet," Venom answered. "That is all I shall tell you."

"And... what do you want with me?"

"That is none of your concern."

"I... I don't know what to..."

I heard something coming from the police radio.

"Bank robbery in progress," the voice said, "First Eastern Bank Bismark. Another sand storm is reported in the vicinity. All cars, proceed with caution."

"Marko," I growled.

"You want revenge?" Venom asked. "Together, we can finally give Ben's killer the justice he deserves!"

Timeskip

I landed at the bank, and started looking around for Marko.

"Okay, any ideas, Venom?" I asked.

"Look down," he said.

I looked down, and I saw sand blowing to a manhole cover, and sliding through the holes.

"Bingo!" I said.

"Let's get him!" Venom said.

I pulled the manhole cover from the ground, and tossed it aside.

"Wow," I heard a voice from behind me. "Love the new outfit."

I turned around, and I saw Eddie.

"Eddie! He could've been an... interesting host," Venom said.

"Why don't you give me some web shooting action?" he said, preparing his camera.

"Those are our pictures!" Venom said.

I shot a web at the camera, and tossed it against the wall.

"See ya, chump!" I said, leaping into the sewer.

As I crawled along the roof, looking for Marko, I could hear Eddie yelling.

"What the hell?!" he shouted.

"Was that really necessary?" I asked Venom.

"We can't let anyone steal money from us!" Venom said.

"But he's my friend--"

"And that includes our friends!"

"... Okay..."
