Hyunjin needed to get out of the house, in conclusion he paid a visit to the same grocery store he went a while ago.

He was looking around for some gummybears when a specific item barged inside his thoughts.

What if I buy a pack of cigarette too? That's what he was thinking about.

He hates the disgusting smell of those cancer sticks, so why would he buy them? Why does he want to try them out? He had no idea.

15 minutes later, Hyunjin found himself sitting on the same park bench as last time, his hands desperately clutching a small pack.

He glared at the item, feeling the disgust bubbling inside him. For the package or for himself? Maybe both.

Hyunjin ripped the pack open and took one out, looking at it with curious eyes. With the help of a newly bought lighter, he finally had the courage to put the cigarette between his lips. Orange flame shone and the smoke emitted.

The taste was bitter, his lungs begged for fresh air. He couldn't take it and with teary eyes he broke down in a coughing fit.

You really can't smoke without tears?

This is the most easiest thing and you still can't do that.

How disappointing.

Hyunjin's emotions were all over the place, cussing himself for being weak. He was angry. Furious even.

But at what?

The world?

Again, himself?

The last one probably, but he let it slide to a deeper part of his brain, where he stored all his negative feelings. That place was full, clouds escaped from it to make him feel empty. If you don't want to feel any negative, then feeling empty is better. Right?

Hyunjin slammed the package of cigarettes on the concrete and with angry huffs, tear-stained cheeks and void head he let the flames consume the small box.

The smell was awful, but the fire was beautiful to watch.

Hyunjin left the park.

Someone followed his footsteps with his eyes, then concentrated on the burning item. With heavy heart, that someone put the fire out and abandoned the scene.
