Deen"All. . . Done," I mumbled quietly to myself as I stepped back from the piece of work in my living room.
In order to make up for some busy weeks and two-week business trips, in which Paislee and I hadn't gotten to see each other, I was setting up a cozy, indoors date night. My living room looked a bit strange with the huge white sheet hanging, pillows and blankets decorating the floor, and unlit lanterns. I had gone out my way to purchase a film projector, hence the white sheet, and decided to surprise Paislee with all of her favorite snacks to eat during the movie.
Paislee had to run some errands today because her sisters were spending Christmas Eve with her. I was tagging along, of course, and she would just come back to my place where she would find my surprise. Even though Paislee hated it, I loved to drop some extra bucks on here. Just spending money on small stuff like dates or bigger, extravagant gift.
"Everything looks surprisingly good." I looked over at the scene that just seemed like a perfect escape from the cold weather and holiday cheer that was outside.
I then exited, happy with my surprise.

Paislee and I were walking around the streets, soaking up all the holiday decor and happiness that seemed to swarm around. With Paislee's warm hand in mine, she dragged me to whichever stores she needed to stop at. So far she had gone into this baking shop for fun shaped cookie cutters and then she picked up some small trinkets for Pamela and Penny.
"Thank you for tagging along with me today," Paislee said, situating her coat tighter.
"No problem," I responded, I kissing her glove-covered hand. "Isn't this the shop where you got my birthday gift?"
Paislee stopped momentarily. "Oh, yeah. Surprised you remember me telling you that. Extra points for actually listening to me for once and not zoning out on my face."
"Your beauty tends to captivate my attention." Paislee made a funny face before laughing.
"Eww, I don't know whether to be disgusted or smile," Paislee said playfully. "Is this how you get all the women's attention when you sing at the bars?"
"Excuse me? I don't get any women's attention when I sing. I literally just do it for pure enjoyment and money."
Paislee and I continued walking past the front of the store.
