Later back at the high school, Bain walks in through the main doors and Carl Maxwell walks out of his office and finds the sheriff in the hallway. "How's it goin sheriff?" He asked. Bain quickly walks to Maxwell. "Listen to me ." He said. "We have a situation going on in town that's pretty serious." Maxwell becomes concerned. "What is it?" He asked. "Well we don't exactly know." Said Bain. "But I want everyone in this building to stay here until farther notice." Maxwell didn't understand what Bain was talking about. "Listen Bain." He said. "Remember that I used to be Sheriff a long time ago. And I remember that you cannot force anyone to have a lock-down if you don't exactly know what you are up against." "It's police business!" Said Bain about to lose his patience. "Look boy." Said Maxwell. "I am not putting my school on lock-down until you tell me exactly what is going on around here." Bain looks directly at Maxwell's eyes. "If I tell you, you're gonna think I'm crazy." He said. "I'm a 72 year old man." Said Maxwell. "I've seen a lot of things in my life." Bain finally tells him. "One of my deputies captured a footage of an unknown mammal species." He said. "And its big. We're on a search for it now." Maxwell scratches his head. "What does it look like?" He asked. "Well like I said," said Bain. "Its really big, it has purple and black fur, and its ears are really long. We don't know if its dangerous or not." You said that you have footage of this thing?" Asked Maxwell. "That's correct." Said Bain. "Alrighty then." Said Maxwell. "I'll call for a lock-down." Bain was shocked by Maxwell's reaction. "You actually believe this I'm telling ya?." He asked. "It doesn't matter if I believe ya or not," said Bain. "I just appreciate you finally telling me what's goin on. Don't wanna get confused if ya know what I mean. Now go do your job and I'll take care of the school." Bain walks out the doors and Maxwell goes back into his office. He goes to his desk and turns on the school's intercom to make an announcement for a lock-down. "Teachers and students may I have your attention please?" He said. "There is a Sammyville town emergency goin on. So the high school will be under a lock-down until farther notice. I need all teachers and students to report to the gymnasium at this time. I repeat, Sammyville high school will be under an emergency lock-down until farther notice, and all classes need to report to the gym at this time. Thank you." Maxwell turns off the intercom and sits down at his desk. "Lord have mercy." He said to himself. "He has returned. Meanwhile in the gym, the rest of the students in the school walk inside, including five police officers from the police department. Eric decided to go to them to see what was going on. "Excuse me sir!" He said. "What is this?" A policeman looks back at him. "We have a situation here in town." He said. "But don't worry. Everything is under control. Please go back to your seat." Eric backs away from the police and finds Coach Corey and walks to talk to him. "Hey Coach!" He said. "Yes Eric?" Said Corey. "Can you tell me what's going on around here?" Asked Eric. "I honestly don't know Eric." Said Corey. "I'm just here to look after you guys." Suddenly, a red-headed girl named Casey who was one of the students in the school, walks angrily to Corey. "Are you like kidding me right now?" She asked. "I have been waiting forever to get out of here so I could go to lunch, and then this happens!" "Casey," said Corey. "Please calm down." "How can I calm down when I feel like im starving to death?" She said. Finally, she calms down a bit. "Sorry." She continued. "May I go to the vending machine?" "You may." Said Corey. "But come straight back after you're done. Alright?" "Oh thank God!" Said Casey with a sigh of relief. "Thank you!" She rushes out of the gym to the vending machines out in the hallway of the school. "Anyway." Said Eric. "I just wanna know more of what this is all about so I can calm my sister down that's all." "I really wish I can help you," said Corey. "But I don't know anything right now." "I appreciate it though." Said Eric as he walks away. "I'll see you later." "Yeah." Said Corey. "Take it easy." Eric goes back to the bleachers with Angela and Cody. "Did you find out anything?" Asked Cody. "Not really." Said Eric. "But the good news is that the police said that they have it under control. "That's good." Said Cody. "Are you sure?" Asked Angela. Eric puts his hand on her back. "I'm sure." He said. "There's nothing to worry about sis." Maxwell goes into the gym and then gets on the stage with a microphone in his hand. "Could I have your attention please?" he said. "I'm just going to let you know that the entire town will also be under a lock-down. We will let you know when we are able to get back to our normal schedule. That'll be all." He gets off stage and walks out of the gym. The students all became furious. "What?" Said Angela. "The whole town? Asked Cody. "They're not telling us something." Said Eric.
