It was a little bit after 4pm. Most of the students calmed down after being angry with the school and police. Casey had to get up to use the restroom. She asked permission from Coach Corey. He told her to go and make it back to the gym as soon as possible. She walk down the empty dark halls of the school and looks around. After she walked a few ways down, she suddenly heard loud knocking from behind the closet door where the janitors keep their equipment. She goes to the door and at first hesitates to open the door, but after she heard a groan on the other side of the door, she knew something was wrong. She quickly opens the door and after she looked inside the closet, it almost made her scream. It was her older brother Officer Billy Smith who was tied up lying on the dirty floor. He had second-degree burns on some parts of his body mostly on his face, hands, and arms. He was hurt, but alive. "What happened to you?" She asked. He opens his eyes and looks at his sister. "Sis?" He said in a weak and frightened voice. Casey didn't know what to do. Eric, Angela, and Cody came into the hallway and noticed  Casey panicking for help. The three quickly ran to them with concern. "What happened?" Asked Eric. Casey started crying. "I don't know!" She said. "I-I found him like this! What do I do?" "Don't worry!" Said Eric. "I'll get help!" But before Eric had a chance to leave, Smith stops him. "Hey kid." He said trying to rise up. "Do you have a car here?" "Yes." Said Eric. "Why?" "Listen to me." Said Smith. "Pay close attention. I want you to put me in your car and I'll tell you where you need to go. Understand?" "Why can't any of the other officers come and help?" Asked Cody. "No!" Said Smith. "That'll be a HUGE mistake! Just trust me and follow my orders. Okay?" The teens finally decided to obey the injured police officer and quietly drive away without anyone noticing them. Eric carefully goes to the parking lot and gets his car and drives it to the front of the school to pick up officer Smith and the others. "Hey Eric." Said Cody. "I know a short cut where no one can spot us." He points towards the dirt road that leads into the woods. "Follow that road and it will take him straight to the hospital." "You come here often?" Eric asked Cody. "Mostly at night to clear my mind." Said Cody. "How long will it take to get there?" Asked Casey. "About 20 minutes if we hurry." Said Cody. "There's no time for that!" Said Smith. "The sheriff and the other officers with him are looking for that monster. We need to find the Sheriff as quickly as possible." The kids didn't know what Smith was talking about. "Why? Asked Casey. "And what do you mean monster?" Asked Eric. Smith didn't know how he was going to explain to them about what was happening in Sammyville. "If I tell you guys," he said. "Will all of you keep it a secret and not tell anyone about it?" "Yes sir." Said Eric. "Alright." Said Smith. "The monster you all have been hearing about?" "Yeah?" Said Eric. "Its real." Said Smith. "I knew it." Cody said quietly to himself. "Every police officer in town is trying to find it and bring it back for an investigation." Smith continued. "But I'm afraid that there's more than one monster out there." "What do you mean?" Asked Casey. "I've captured some footage of the monster I saw last night and showed it to the Sheriff the next morning." Said Smith. "It was enough proof to show him that it was no joke. So. Me, him, and other units had to go search for it, but Bain had to let the school know about the lock-down first. I waited in the car for him to come back, but something knocked me out cold from behind. The next thing I knew, I was in the janitor's closet with this- demon." Everyone was confused. "A demon?" Said Cody. "Yeah." Said Smith. "I tried to yell for help, but my mouth was covered where no one could hear me. He suddenly changed into something else." Smith pauses for a moment. "My god. He continued. "He- changed into me! He looked exactly like ME! He left me alone in the closet after that." Something Smith said caught Casey's attention. "Wait a minute." She said. "So that WASN'T you I saw in the gym earlier today?" Smith becomes worried. "No." He said. I was never there." Casey realized right then that something was wrong. "O.M.G!" She said. "What's wrong?" Asked Eric. "Then that means the demon is with Bain right now!" "We should help him! Said Angela. Eric rolls his eyes. "Now hang on." He said. "How do we know that he is not making this all up?" Casey gets a bit angry with Eric. "Does it look like he's making this all up?" She asked. "Whatever happened to him must have messed his mind up or something." Said Eric. "How dare you!" Said Casey. "My brother would never make stuff up like this!" "Yeah but a demon?" Said Eric. "Someone else could have done this to him." The inside of the car goes quiet. Eric pulls up at a two-way fork in the road. Smith finally breaks the silence. "You're gonna need me to prove to Bain that you are not just a bunch of teenagers making jokes with the law." Eric looks at his friends. "What do you think?" He asked. "I say we do what he says!" Said Casey. "Me too!" Said Angela. "Cody?" Asked Eric. "He's the officer of the law." Said Cody. Eric turns left to find Sheriff Bain and the other members of the Sammyville Police Department.
