(POV: SIMON)

Seven days of standing at this door, seven days since Simon had started working for Prince Nahyuta, seven days of torture. But, for the most part he was starting to get used to His Royal Douchebag's terrible attitude. Thank the Holy Mother he only had to see his awful face once a day. How could an absolute angel like Klav's boyfriend be friends with that? Luckily, there was no reason for him to talk to His Royal Douchebag. Simon decided then that he didn't care much for this false prince. Though, if it was required for him to continue living, then he might -and he stressed the might- save him from an assassin. The two of them would probably never get along and if he didn't try to, then Simon wouldn't either.

"I demand that you take me into the city. That is an order, not a suggestion." His Royal Douchebag said, making an appearance before Simon on this wonderful morning.

"And why would I choose to obey that order?" he asked, frowning at the prince. He absolutely hated the fact that he might be able to force him to obey this order.

"Because I'm your prince and you might consider the fact that I don't want to disappoint my only friend by telling him that I can't go out with him because my bodyguard is being difficult."

"What could've he possibly said to make Your Highness go out? I'd assumed that you were scared of people." Seriously... was Apollo even that convincing? Kid looked like he wouldn't be able to convince a fly not to land on him. Disappointing him didn't scare Simon. Though, on the other hand, he could tell Klavier and that was a scary thought in its own right.

"He wants him to come with him to see his little sister and then we are going to meet with some friends of his. I hate the thought of disappointing him, so we are going. You have no choice in this matter." His Royal Douchebag said, crossing his arms and frowning at Simon. How could he deny such a face? He'd say no if he could. As he led the way out of the palace, Simon secretly wished that this friend of Apollo's wasn't also a friend of his. In other words... Klavier.

They met with Apollo in the front courtyard of the palace, following him to the main square of the town where a wooden stage was set up. Or to be more accurate, His Royal Douchebag followed Apollo and Simon followed him. The three of them watched a young girl perform a series of magic tricks and he admitted she was quite good. Simon guessed that she was probably Apollo's little sister. He guessed they did seem to have a similar appearance, nothing like him and his sister. Aura and him looked nothing alike, not to mention their huge age difference. It often put them at odds with one another. As the girl finished her show, she leapt down from the stage, running over to Apollo and jumping into his arms for a hug.

"I think that was your best show yet Trucy!" he exclaimed loudly as he caught her. She smiled, wrapping her arms tightly around his shoulders.

"Aw thanks Polly." She pressed a kiss to his cheek, most likely happy to get a compliment from her older brother. Athena would punch him if Simon tried to compliment her or even if he didn't. She'd gotten in the habit of punching him whenever she saw him a long time ago and it had never stopped. And while they might not have been as close as these two anymore, Simon hoped that he would be able to repair his relationship with her now that he was out of prison. He adored her like a little sister after all. He wondered if there was anything he could for her. Now that Simon was getting a quite higher salary, maybe he could buy her a present or something else nice like that.

"Nahyuta! Simon! This is my younger sister, Trucy Wright!" Apollo shouted, jolting Simon out his head and back into the present moment. Jeez, he was loud. What were his vocal cords made out of? Steel?

"We're right here Apollo, no need to yell." His Royal Douchbag said calmly, trying to get his very loud little friend to quiet down a little. The girl -Trucy, Simon guessed- ran over and gave both him and the prince excited hugs the same way she'd hugged Apollo. Guess the enthusiasm ran in the family as well.

"Don't let it bother you Yuty, she's been like that as long as I've known her." Apollo said, reaching up to pat His Royal Douchebag on the shoulder after seeing his surprised expression.

"I do so despise that nickname." he said, frowning at Apollo's use of 'Yuty'. Great, if he hated it, then Simon was going to have to use it some time to annoy him.

"Do I get to speak to my daughter as well or are you going to monopolize her time Apollo?" Simon glanced in the direction this voice had come from, surprised to see the spiky-haired man he'd seen talking to Captain Edgeworth that one time. Except this time he wasn't drenched in flour.

"Oh right. Guys this who we came to see," Apollo said, gesturing to the spiky-haired man, "I used to work for him and he's also the one who raised Trucy. My old mentor, Phoenix Wright."

"Nice to meet you, Your Highness. Apollo has told me a lot about you," Phoenix said, reaching out to shake His Royal Douchebag's hand, "I'm really proud of how well this boy turned out, but if there's anything you ever need that he can't bake -trust me when I say that his bread is awful- please come visit the Wright Anything Bakery anytime."

"Did Mr Miles come with you Mr Wright?" Apollo said, glancing around for this mysterious second person. Why did the name 'Miles' sound familiar to him? As far as Simon knew, that wasn't the first name of anyone he was close to.

"He'll be along in a second, he ended up talking to someone he bumped into that he knew on the way here and told me to go ahead of him."

"Daddy! Daddy! Did I do good?!" Trucy exclaimed, running over to hug her dad now. He patted her on the head, ruffling up her hair.

"You did great sweetheart. And I'm sure you'll do even better next time." His daughter smiled up at him, happily twirling in a little circle at his compliment.

"I apologize for my tardiness. I got caught up in that conversation." 'Miles' then arrived, pressing a kiss to Phoenix's cheek. Simon knew that voice, he swore he knew that voice. Simon glanced in his direction, almost scared to make eye contact with the Captain. His first name was Miles? How surprising. Would he scold him for messing around like this? Not that Simon had really done anything much, but still!

"It's surprising to see you with people other than Gavin, Blackquill." This was directed at Simon and he stiffened up at the sound of his name from his lips.

"Wait, do you already know Simon, Mr Miles?" Apollo asked, glancing between the two of them in confusion.

"Oh right, you wouldn't know about that," Captain Edgeworth said, suddenly remembering that Apollo wouldn't know about their relationship, "Blackquill used to be a part of the unit I command until he was reassigned to be His Royal Highness' guard." Apollo nodded, now understanding how Simon knew the Captain. His Royal Douchebag had been rather silent this whole time, maybe he'd run off. Oh Holy Mother, had Simon lost the crown freaking prince? He glanced around for the annoying pretty boy, finding him still standing at his side. He breathed a small sigh of relief, he hadn't lost him after all. As annoying as His Royal Douchebag was, it would be a real shame if Simon lost him in the middle of the city. It wasn't about anymore than his job, but he couldn't help but think that he would be fairly sad if he ended up getting killed because of his negligence. Or maybe it was about more than his job. Nope, never. Simon could never think about His Royal Douchebag... Nahyuta... like that.
