"I have to go to the Observatory for something. Would you mind coming with me?" Well, Nahyuta didn't have much of a choice did he? He was barely awake but he allowed Simon to drag him with him anyway.
~~~
Why was this hill such a pain to climb? It wasn't like it was the first time that Nahyuta had done it or anything, but it seemed like it got more painful to climb the more times he did. As he and Simon reached the top, a woman with long purple hair ran over to Simon, eagerly flinging her arms around his neck. Who was she and why was she so close to Simon? He was Nahyuta's bodyguard... no one else should get to...
"Simon! I'm sooo sorry I missed you the last time you were here, but Big Sis Aura has all the time in the world to spend with you now!" She was certainly excitable at the very least. So this was Simon's type...
"I know what you're thinking and no... just no." Simon said, almost as he had just read Nahyuta's mind. Wait, could he read minds?
"If you're not... then who is she?" Nahyuta asked, fidgeting nervously. Please don't say anything that would break his heart... please Simon.
"Nahyuta, this is my older sister... Aura." Simon forced the two of them to shake, but neither of them were happy about it. They continued to walk up the hill, Miss Aura wrapping her arm protectively around Simon's shoulders and giving Nahyuta a pointed glare. Bitch.
~~~
"Hey, Simon. Back again so soon? And you've brought your boyfriend again." Miss Cykes greeted them when they entered the Observatory, putting down a large pile of papers that she seemed to be organizing.
"He's not my-" Simon was interrupted by his sister shaking him.
"When did you bring this lilac boy here before?! Tell me Simon!"
"I just brought him to look at the moon once! It was only once!" His sister breathed a sigh -relief? maybe?- and let him go.
"To properly introduce her, this is my older sister, Aura Blackquill." Simon forced his sister to shake Nahyuta's hand again, and again she was not happy with it.
"Touch him and I'll kill you." Her mouth was smiling but her eyes certainly weren't. Scary.
"Aura, what did I say? I told you to act normal. And don't threaten royalty." Simon smacked her on the back of the head, reprimanding her for her actions. It was almost hard to tell when one of them was the older sibling... almost. Unlike Nahyuta and Rayfa.
"And this is Athena Cykes, she's kind of like a younger sister to me and Aura." Simon patted Miss Cykes on the back, accidentally making her drop the pile of papers. She scrambled to pick them up, nodding hello to Nahyuta.
"Speak for yourself Simon, this princess is no sister of mine." Aura mumbled, crossing her arms and scowling at Miss Cykes. Someone wasn't in a good mood.
"Heya Nahyuta! ...so have you and Simon done it yet?" Miss Cykes ran over to Nahyuta after she finished picking up the papers, greeting him in a casual way. Simon's eyes widened in shock, he guessed he hadn't realized that they met before. Or he was reacting to her question. Both were plausible.
"Done what?" Nahyuta cocked his head in confusion, pretending that he had no idea what she was talking about.
"Oh... you know. Heh." Miss Cykes elbowed him playfully in the side. Keep playing Nahyuta, he didn't have any idea what she's talking about.
"No I'm afraid I don't. Care to tell me more?" Why? Why couldn't Nahyuta just tell her that he knew exactly what she was talking about? No, it was too embarrassing at this point to admit it. Simon already thought he was dense, had to keep playing like he was.
"Annnnd, that would be our cue to leave. Come on Nahyuta." Simon grabbed Nahyuta's hand, pulling him out of there as quickly as he could. Thank you Simon. Once again, he'd gotten Nahyuta out of one of the most awkward situations of his life. He had a lot to thank Simon for at this point, but he couldn't ever seem to be able to say it out loud.
~~~
"I need a drink." Simon mumbled to himself as we walked back to the palace. Instead of turning to go there, he continued to head down Main Street, dragging Nahyuta along with him. Honestly, he kind of agreed with him. After an experience like that, he almost needed a drink too. He led Nahyuta to a nearby tavern. He'd never been to a tavern before, as well as a myriad of other places, but those places could wait for now.
As they entered the small, dimly lit room, Nahyuta thought he spotted Apollo. Wait, that couldn't be right. His back was pressed against a table as he passionately kissed the blond man who'd come to the palace that one time. Both them had messy hair and from the look of it, they'd been at it for a while. Nahyuta couldn't stop myself from letting out a gasp. He'd never imagined that Apollo would be the type of person to make out in public... and that no one around him would be bothered by it. At the sound of his gasp, Apollo and his... boyfriend, Nahyuta thought... jumped away from each other, both blushing wildly. From beside him, Simon let a loud barking laugh and went over to the table, sitting down next to the blond man. Nahyuta followed him shyly, folding my hands in my lap as I sat. What was the proper etiquette for a place like this? Was there even etiquette? If so, that was great. He hated having to act all proper all the time. Apollo waved hello to him, taking a seat on the blond man's lap instead in the chair next to him. For a couple, they were especially close. Nahyuta hated to think that Apollo's scar had something to do with this man, he seemed so nice. Or maybe it wasn't that he had made it on Apollo, maybe someone they both had been close to had done it, bringing them closer together.
"Strange to see you here during the day Simon. Got tired of babysitting?" the blond man said, poking Simon's arm and laughing. Apollo smacked his hand, frowning at him. He gestured to Nahyuta.
"The man Simon is apparently 'babysitting' is right there Klav. Don't be rude." The blond man laughed again, nuzzling his head into Apollo's shoulder.
"Sorry, sorry Liebling. It's just... it's unhealthy to drink during the day."
"Says the man who's constantly drunk." The blond man's hand rested on Apollo's hip and Apollo snuggled into his shoulder, the blond gently kissing his -rather large, sorry Apollo- forehead. Simon began to drink with the blond, seeming to loosen up a little. Nahyuta had never seen him like this before. He was always so uptight around him.
"Got a girl yet Simon? Oh, pardon me... guy. If you don't, I'll be happy to introduce you to someone. I've got people practically falling at my feet... unfortunately, I've already got my dearest Apollo, so I usually try to introduce them to one of my friends. Interested Simon?" the blond man -who's name Nahyuta had learned was Klavier- asked Simon, poking him playfully in the arm, while his other hand still rested on Apollo's hip. Nahyuta had also learned a little bit more about their relationship. They'd been dating for five years, and apparently, he was the only man that Klavier had ever truly loved. Klavier talked a bit too much about his personal life. It may have been one of his main personality flaws.
"Sorry Klavier. I can't take any of them off your hands, one it's your own problem... and two, I already have someone that I'm interested in." Simon seemed completely serious about this... he really did have someone that he liked.
"Drat. You were my only hope Simon. I just want a happy and quiet life with Apollo, no weird fans of mine bothering us." Klavier pressed a kiss to Apollo's cheek, Apollo trying to squirm away. Simon... had someone he was interested in... meaning someone that he loved. A strange feeling started to bubble inside his chest, though Nahyuta was unsure of what it was. So strange...
