"Nahyuta, please go apologize to your father. Don't let it brew, you're only going to regret this later," Simon said as Nahyuta dragged a brush through his hair and began to rebraid it the next morning. He walked up behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder, "you can't stay mad at him forever Yuty. He deserves a chance." His father? Give him a chance? He'd wouldn't listen, he never had. Nahyuta sighed, setting the brush down and turning to Simon.
"Simon... you don't understand, I can't go. This is how things always are, he gets that." Simon shook his head, making the prince stand up and pushing him towards the door.
"You're going and that's final. I won't hear any arguments from you." Nahyuta sighed, he didn't have a choice in this matter; did he?
"Aren't you coming with me?" he asked Simon as he started to shut the door behind him.
"Well... I probably shouldn't. That stab wound is still kind of hurting and besides... this is a matter that the two of you should resolve by yourselves. Father and son." He slammed the door with that, leaving Nahyuta alone outside. So that's what he really thought. Guess he was going to have to go see Dhurke.
~~~
The -former- Sahdmadhi Law Offices were as sad to look at as ever. Did Dhurke ever think about getting this place fixed up? Though, Nahyuta supposed he couldn't, he wouldn't be able to hire anyone with his reputation. He glanced over at the door, noticing that Datz was sitting outside. Strange, usually he was inside with Dhurke doing something dumb. He swore, they got dumber every time he came out here.
"Uncle Datz!" It pained Nahyuta to call him that, but he wouldn't respond to anything else. Stupid Datz. That look he gave him as he noticed he was there... what was it? Why did he look so pained?
"I'm glad you're here Yuty..." Why did he sound so sad? Had something happened?
"Datz why are you outside? Is my father not here?" Datz frowned, somehow looking even sadder than he already was.
"He's not... here..." His voice caught, sounding like he was about to break down crying. Nahyuta's heart skipped a beat, a strange sort of panic starting to set in.
"Datz, where is he?" Datz fell in an unusual silence, staring down at the ground as he refused to make eye contact with the prince.
"Datz, I asked where my father is!" Nahyuta repeated my question louder when he didn't respond. Had he not heard him? This was so strange for Datz, normally he was so talkative. He had never seen him like this before, at least, not that he could remember. Datz sighed and stood from the dusty ground, gesturing for Nahyuta to follow him inside.
"But Datz! I thought Dhurke wasn't in!" His mind had surrendered itself to panic. He didn't want to believe what he was thinking... he wouldn't believe it, he refused to. Datz sighed again, giving Nahyuta this look that made him fall quiet for a moment.
"You'll get it in a moment Yuty." As he followed him, he desperately asked him questions but he refused to answer any of them... he stayed silent for the first time in his life.
Datz paused in a small foyer. Nahyuta had never been here before, he'd never been allowed.
"Datz where are we?" the prince asked him. There better not be anything behind that door, this had better be some horribly planned prank. He wasn't sure what he could say if it wasn't.
"You kids weren't allowed here, you wouldn't have been able to handle it... but I think you're ready now, you've grown into a fine young man. You're strong enough to be able to handle this." He unlocked the door, opening it to a small backyard that clearly hadn't been taken care of. At the centre of the dying yard was a cluster of about twenty gravestones... no... no. Tell him that he wasn't right, he couldn't be right!
