They arrived early, just as Klav requested, and Simon was shocked to see Athena there. Phoenix Wright was there as well, with his daughter and Captain Edgeworth in tow. What were the two of them? He was too scared to ask and too stupid to figure it himself.
"Athena... what are you doing here?" Simon asked his sister, choosing to ignore the Wrights for now. He didn't even need to ask them why they were here anyway.
"Ah... while you were locked up in that stinky old cell of your's, I became friends with Mr Wright's daughter, Trucy. She introduced me to Apollo and Apollo and I became fast friends as well." Athena explained, flicking Simon in the forehead. Of course, that made perfect sense. Apollo had worked in Phoenix's bakery before he'd come to work for Nahyuta, and his daughter was his sister. Also, Athena made friends with practically every person she met.
"And how do you know the happy couple Simon?" She gagged on her own words as she said this. Good, the idea of watching them be the ideal couple in front of everyone disgusted her as well.
"For your information, Klavier is an old friend of mine." Athena gasped, shoving her elbow into his side.
"You have friends?! What a shocker!" she exclaimed fakely as Simon punched her gently in the arm. Yup, just a regular day with the Blackquill-slash-Cykes family.

Why had that stupid ceremony been so long? Simon was so damn hungry he could almost eat my own shoe, not to mention the fact that while it was pretty cool during the night in Khura'in, the same could not be said of a church in the middle of the day. Thank the Holy Mother that they were having a reception. Had he mentioned that he was starving yet?
Their guests began to bother Klavier and Apollo for the story of how they'd met. Simon had gotten the very very abridged version once before, so he was curious for the full story as well. Apollo groaned, opening his mouth to protest, but he was far too late. Klavier had already grabbed his lute and was sitting on the nearest table he could find.
"We met on a fine summer day when I smelled the sweet scent of bread wafting from a nearby bakery," he strummed gently on his strings as he began his story. Typical bard, "I wandered into the bakery, allured by the sweet smell. And there standing at the counter was an absolute angel! I asked him if he was the one who was baking the bread that filled the air. He explained that he wasn't the one baking the bread and that it was his mentor. He said he wasn't all that talented at making bread," He could say that again. Simon'd had the unfortunate pleasure of trying some of Apollo's bread recently, he hadn't been expecting it to be so bad that he would have to spend an hour hunched over the toilet, "I still asked him for some that he had made," Why? It was terrible, Klavier was probably the only person in the world who could stomach it, "he offered me what looked like it might have been bread at some point in its sad life, but it was far too burnt to tell. I accepted my angel's gift gratefully anyway, I wouldn't want to be rude. It was pretty terrible. The angel thanked me for trying and offered me some cake, saying that it was his speciality," He would need it after eating some of Apollo's bread, Simon had, "the cake was sweet, but it was nothing compared to the smile he gave me. I had thought that he had been anglic before, but that smile made him seem like a god to me. At that point, I swore to myself that I would make that boy mine," At least he had succeeded, Simon hated to think what would've happened to him if he hadn't, "after months of desperately trying to convince him every day to spend one evening with me, he finally accepted," How many months was months?! Three?! Four?! "we went to a lovely nearby restaurant and I sang for him while being showered with gold," People were most likely just chucking gold coins at him, it happened fairly often, "I wooed my lovely angel and convinced him to spend another evening with me. And now I have the pleasure of being married to that angel- the angel that helped me to forget everything that pained my burdened heart. My dearest Apollo, mein liebe."
