The tears wouldn't stop pouring from Nahyuta's eyes after Simon stormed out. His father had died and now Simon was most certainly going to leave him. He didn't want to be all alone... never again. But Simon wasn't here to stop him... he could go through with his crazy plan and if he became king... maybe he'd want to come back to him. Nahyuta couldn't deal with having to lose him too. He quickly changed clothes and rebraided his messy hair so he would look at least somewhat presentable. He practically ran all the way to his uncle's quarters, knocking poleitly on the door when he reached them, as if he wasn't going to murder him the moment he saw his face. Simon would probably chastise him for his choice of weapon, but he didn't have anything better within arms reach. This knife would have to do. Simon wasn't here to offer Nahyuta his sword.
~~~
"Uncle Inga... I know what you did to Dhurke." Nahyuta gently played with the knife in his hands to let him know that he wasn't joking around. He was here to talk and if he didn't get the answers he wanted, he would kill him without a second thought.
"I did nothing to Dhurke, I haven't seen him in years." Liar... Nahyuta knew about the things he talked about behind closed doors. Corrupt dealings of a corrupt king. He wasn't exactly clear what said corrupt dealings were, but he knew enough about this awful country to know that they were happening.
"Datz told me everything... how you were there on the day that Dhurke died, how the two of you argued. If you ask me, which you won't, I don't believe that it could be anybody but you, Uncle Inga."
"I didn't... do anything!" He was starting to get flustered and he broke out into a cold sweat. Nahyuta settled his knife into his palm, wrapping his fingers around it. That's it, this bastard was going to die for his crimes. He pointed the knife at his face, threatening him without saying a single word.
"Fine, you win my dearest nephew!" Inga cocked his head and gave Nahyuta this smile that made him want to stab him even more, "I killed Dhurke. Stabbed him right in the heart. Is that what you wanted to hear? Please don't stab me!" He didn't have to act all cocky about it. Now he didn't have to kill him in complete cold blood, it would be real revenge for his father. Nahyuta smiled kindly at him.
"I'm sorry Uncle, but you deserve to die." Inga stumbled back, falling to the ground next to his bed. He quickly stood up again, trying to run away from Nahyuta. Aw, he had offered him the sight of his beautiful face in his last moments. Why did he want to run away? Luckily, Nahyuta was faster from the days that he spent training with Dhurke. He was about to stab him, but Simon stopped him, placing his hand between the knife and Inga. Simon! He came back. Nahyuta dug a handkerchief out of his pocket, smiling as he offered it to his boyfriend. He quickly wrapped it around his bleeding hand and pulled his sword out of its sheath. He held it out to Nahyuta, gesturing for him to take it.
"Nahyuta, you should know better. The only proper way to murder someone in this day and age is with a sword." He laughed, brushing his fingers gently against his hand as he grabbed it from him. He flushed, turning his head away so he wouldn't make eye contact with Nahyuta.
"You should take care of your uncle, he's trying to escape." Simon gestured at Inga who was currently trying to squeeze himself out of the window. Nahyuta grabbed his collar, pulling him back into the room and pressing the sword to his neck.
"Please! I'll do whatever you want Nahyuta, please don't kill me!" He tried to beg desperately for his life, but Nahyuta being who he was, he granted him no mercy. He deserved to die and that's exactly what he got. Bad royals got their heads cut off. His subordinates, who had been in the room the whole time and cowering in a corner because they were too scared of him to do anything, kneeled at his feet, pledging their undying loyalty to him. They would stay by Nahyuta's side as long as he remained the ruling sovereign. Cute, but the only person he needed by his side was Simon. He accepted their loyalty nonetheless, leaving the room with Simon trailing after him.
~~~
"Simon, why did you come back? I thought you hated me now."
"How could I ever hate you, Your Highness?"
"Simon... you called me a douchebag." Simon laughed, grabbing Nahyuta's hand and pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it.
"I wasn't just going to leave you alone Nahyuta." He wrapped his arms around his shoulders, pulling him into a tight hug.
"Simon, I'm glad you made the right decision." He let him go, grabbing his hand to lead him to his aunt's quarters. No coup was ever complete without killing both the rulers.
~~~
"Aunt Ga'ran, you've been a corrupt kingdom and subjecting the people to utter torture just by living here." Much like her idiot of a husband, his aunt instantly denied the allegations he set before her.
"I have proof, which I will reveal to the masses if you don't comply with my wishes."
"I'll give you what you want, tell me dear boy and you'll get it." Oh good, she was a bit more reasonable than stupid Uncle Inga.
"Well... let's see... I think I want you dead." She stumbled back as Nahyuta plunged the sword straight into her heart. Good, only one last problem to take care of.
"Holy Mother, I love you..." Simon muttered under his breath as he grabbed his hand again to drag him to his sister's room.
"Rayfa..." She glanced up from her book, barely fazed by the blood covering Nahyuta. Fair enough.
"What do you want asshat?"
"It's time you learned the truth about this country... and your true parentage." He told her everything he knew and she just stood there, nodding every once in a while to tell him that she was still paying attention.
"Rayfa... I hope you don't mind that I'm going to take the throne instead of you." She giggled softly, raising an eyebrow in confusion.
"What? You thought I wanted to in the first place? No way loser." Nahyuta would've hugged her but he was still covered in blood. He took Simon back to their room so he could clean up.
~~~
"Please dispose of those bloody clothes Simon!" Nahyuta shouted from inside his closet as he tried to find something new to wear.
"Simon... there's something I want you to do for me," He pulled down his braid, running his fingers through the long lilac hair, "please fix it." Nahyuta handed him a brush and they sat down on the bed, Simon running it through Nahyuta's long hair.
"I'm shocked you even know how to use a brush, considering what a mess your own hair is." Simon laughed, leaning his chin on his shoulder for a quick minute before pulling back.
"I do have two sisters, it shouldn't be that much of a surprise." He finished braiding Nahyuta's hair much quicker than he could ever do it. Maybe it was easier when you didn't have to look in a mirror to make sure each section was perfect. Nahyuta pulled him into a kiss, a kiss much deeper than any of the ones that they had shared before.
"Come on Simon, we have one more important task to complete." He followed him willing, like always. Nahyuta loved him... he loved him. Hopefully he wouldn't decide to leave someday... he wanted him beside him for the rest of his life.
