❝HOW TO COPE❞
"Can we get Mcdonalds?" Louis questions from the back seat of the car, turning his head to Harry, who sits next to him, staring out the window. Jay laughs from her the driver's seat, tutting a little.
"If we must," she answers with a smile, looking into the rear vision mirror at the two. Jay slows down the car a little and makes a turn towards the big, yellow arches. "Do you know what you'd two like?"
"I'm not hungry," Harry is the first to speak, momentarily glancing at Louis with his saddened green eyes. He looks back out of the window, a frown lacing his features.
Louis turns to him, his face screwed up in a confused expression. "But it's McDonald's..." He whispers, mouth dropping open in shock when Harry barely shrugs. "Anyway, I'll have a big mac meal with a coke, chicken nuggets...Ooh! A Mcflurry!"
"Someone is hungry," Jay laughs, winking at the over-excited boy. "Anything else, love?" She asks as they begin to make their way into the line at the drive-through.
Louis glances at Harry and bites his lip in thought. "A cheeseburger meal... For later."

"Are you mad at me?" Louis asks Harry once they arrive home. Jay had gone to the kitchen to put the groceries she had got away, leaving the two boys alone.
Harry stops in his place at the bottom of the stairs where he was headed to the room and shakes his head. He turns to Louis with a sad smile. "I could never be angry at you, Lou."
"I feel like I did something..." Louis steps forward towards Harry. "Did you find out my secret maybe? Before I was in the accident?"
"What secret?" Harry asks warily, glancing over towards the kitchen to make sure Jay isn't standing around.
"I'm gay..."
Harry snorts and covers his face with his hands, trying to contain his smile. "I know that, Lou... And I know some other things as well, but we don't have to talk about that."
"What do you know?" Louis whispers, his eyes widening in fright. "Please tell me."
"Well, let's just say I got quite the surprise on my birthday when I went to the strip club..." Harry trails off, raising his eyebrow at a blushing Louis.
"Please tell me you didn't tell anyone..." Louis swallows thickly, insecurely wrapping his arms around himself as he looks down at the carpet, scuffing his shoes against it.
"Of course I didn't..." Harry promises, giving Louis a small smile. "I just have to go move around some stuff upstairs, do you want me to sleep in Lottie's bed tonight?"
"Is that where you usually sleep?"
Harry bites his lip and nods. "Yeah..." He purses his lips and turns himself back around. "I'm going up to sort your room out, you stay down here, okay?"
Louis nods and begins to wander to the kitchen as Harry rushes upstairs, his eyes watering. He makes it to Louis' room and quickly rummage's through his stuff, wanting to remove any evidence of their relationship for the moment.
He takes the majority his stuff back into Lottie's room and drops to his knees to dig through his bag. A relieved smile blossoms to his face when he finds the small container. He turns the cap and sits on the carpet, against the bed, back leaning on the foot of it.
He shakes three pills into his hands and dry swallows them instantly, eyes searching the container for the correct dosage and he shrugs when reading he had taken two too much. He places his old anti-depressants back into his bag and leans his head against the mattress, closing his eyes for a moment.
Harry's second of rest is interrupted when a knock on the door startles him. "Come in!" He calls and quickly zips up his bag, his eyes watching the door.
Louis walks in the paper bag from McDonald's held in his hand. "Are you hungry yet? I ordered the burger for you."
The smaller boy walks over to Harry and takes a seat next to him. He stares at him oddly for a moment with a small smile. "Why are you sitting on the floor?"
Harry lolls his head to the side, a sad smile on his face. He offers Louis a shrug as he watches him intently. Sitting before him is his boy, with his blue eyes and fluffy hair, his defined cheekbones and beautiful rosy cheeks that contrast against his sunkissed skin.
His boy, that no longer knows he is his. His boy that is swiped of all their memories. His boy who may never understand the love they share.
