Hunter's POV:

As I was in my room, my phone buzzed, telling me I got a text. It was from Ashlynn so I unlocked my phone and read the text message.

Ashlynn: "Hey Hunter. Are you stopping by my house?" I smiled and my cheeks flushed red. You: "Duh" As I grabbed my coat, my phone buzzed and I looked. Ashlynn: "Hehe.. bye sweetie. See you later *wink*" I laughed and texted her back with one hand. You: "Bye, pumpkin *wink wink*"

It felt good to be back. My girl was happy and so was I. I couldn't ask for anything more than this.

Later on, I walked into Ashlynn's room and she was sitting on her bed, well laying down. I walked over to her and she smiled. "Hey." She muttered. I looked at her and she walked me to her closet.

"Hunter, when you were in that coma I thought that my life would be over. I would always came home and run up to my closet, just to cry. I just thought you could know." I hugged Ashlynn and she smiled.

"C'mon, we got somewhere to be." She whispered. She pulled my hand and we ran down the sidewalks to our school.

When we got there, she smiled and looked at the rock. "Hunter...?" She muttered. I looked at her, and she started to cry. "Remember the day we wrote this? The day Cornelius came, but we didn't know...?" I nodded my head and walled over to her.

"This was the best Christmas gift. Better than a card, better than a Xbox game. This gift, this quote... was something I wouldn't ask for this Christmas..." I replied to calm her down.

I didn't understand why she was crying. Was it something I did? I don't know.

~Ashlynn's POV~

Me and Hunter sat in front of the rock and I laid my head ok his shoulder. I was crying, but at least it wasn't over Hunter being in a coma. It was over everything I did to myself when he wasn't there to help me.

When Hunter was gone- in a coma- I didn't eat to much and never turned on the heat, so I got a cold, but then got really sick. I'm still like that now, but my allergies are calming down.

But, I was hurting myself too. I was slapping myself, cutting myself on purpose whenever I make stew. I would bruise myself with things that were hidden in my closet. I hurt myself, and all because I was fussing over Hunter for no reason?

This was a reason. I loved him. That was my only love out there fighting for his life, and I couldn't do anything, but go home and cry. Now that's he's back, I can't help but look at myself and cry when Hunter's not beside me.

No one else would understand this. I don't even know if Hunter would.

Anyway, Hunter got up, so I followed. "Where you going?" I kindly asked. "We're going to my house." A shocked expression covered over my face and it stayed that way.

"What- why? Your parents hate you, and they'll hate me." I grabbed his hand and he turned around. "I just have to show then to you. If I keep sneaking out like this, I might be grounded for life, and I can't risk that." He replies quietly.

I looked down and hug him. "If all else fails?" He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. "Then... I don't know.."

We walked to Hunter's house and he knocked on the door. I let go of his hand and looked at my feet, letting my bangs fall over. When someone answered the door I could see that they weren't grown up.

"Is that your brother?" I whispered in Hunter's ear. He nodded his head and asked the boy a question. "Where's mom, Harry?" Hunter asked. "Mommy is in the kitchen with daddy. They're doing that parent kissing thing again and its hurting my little kid eyes!"

I looked at Hunter and started to laugh. He smacked his head and kneeled down to Harry. "Go up to my room, okay. We'll wait for you there." He said. The boy nodded his head and looked at me.

"Oh, and one last thing? Take Ashlynn with you." I looked at Hunter and he winked so I smiled. I knew I could always trust him.
