~Ashlynn's POV~

I woke up, on a muggy first day back to school. Me and Hunter weren't talking to each other anymore, which meant that this was gonna be a long day.

I got up from bed and got ready. When I was ready, I left the house and saw Hunter walking in front of me.

Hunter turned around and waved. I waved back, but then someone called his name. I turned around and saw Hunter's best friend running up to him.

I sighed and just kept walking. Hunter looked at me and frowned. A tear fell down my cheek so I turned around and walked away. I wasn't going to school today. If I did, I'd break into tears.

It was the middle of the day and I was eating lunch, when I suddenly got a text message. Hunter: "Hey Ash. I texted you during school cause you didn't come to school today and I was worried about you. Are you even okay? Just answer your phone is all I want from you. I want you to forgive me. Just...stay alive for me, okay?"

I almost cried reading this. Hunter was really upset and didn't know how to deal with the fact that I broke up with him. I didn't mean to cause him this harm, but I just thought we needed some space for a while. I mean, it was for the best.

Later on, someone knocked on my door so I answered it, only to see Hunter crying so much, that his eyes could possibly bleed. I gasped and let him inside the house. "Hunter, what happened to you?" I say getting him a box of tissues.

"It was just that, ever since you broke up with me, I haven't been so focused. My friends left me for the way I've been acting, teachers weren't be so nice and aunt kicked me out the house for smashing her glass plates. Nobody has a care in the world for me right now, Ash..."

I hugged Hunter as he cried on my shoulder. He was really heartbroken and I had to fix it, so I did what was right.

"Hey, Hunter?" I asked looking into his teared up eyes. "Never stop loving me.." I whispered, sitting between his legs. "Ash.. loving you is never wrong.." We both hugged each other and I kissed Hunter's cheek. "I love you, Hunter." I mutter kindly. "I love you too, Ashlynn."

Hunter's POV:

I got up from Ashlynn's bed and sighed happily. Ashlynn coughed and I turned around worried. I walked over to her and she was coughing so much. She was trying to tell me that something is wrong.

She said her throat started to hurt, and that she was getting millions of headaches. I dialed 911 and yelled for help. I really didn't know what was wrong with Ash. She was coughing so much and then just fainted on me.

:(An Hour Later): Another time in the hospital. I really don't think Ash can take this anymore. She's been the hospital too many times and I'm afraid that something is going on inside her body.

I was afraid that maybe she had a disease or cancer and she would die. If she died my life would be over and I would possibly have no choice but to hang myself.

Anyway, I sat in Ashlynn's hospital room watching her sleep peacefully in the bed. The heart monitor showed that her heart rate was fine, but I still didn't believe it.

A doctor came in and looked at me. "Why hello. You must be Hunter, right?" I nodded my head and gulped as well. "Well I have good news and bad news." He whispered.

I crossed my fingers and looked Ash. "The bad news is that Ash has cancer." My eyes widened and I jumped up. I screamed no and ran out the room. I pulled on my hood and cried as I ran all the way to Ashlynn's house.

Nothing could stop the cold tears that were streaming down the dimension of my face.

I ran up to the bathroom that was next to Ashlynn's room and closed the door. I wish this was all a dream. I wish none of this was happening and that Ashlynn wasn't sick. But no. Everything in life had to be real. To me, everything felt safe and like a fairytale if Ashlynn was there.

This time.... she wasn't.
