Chapter 24

David and I stay there for a couple of minutes. Trying to feel each other. After that talk, no one dared to talk.

We are just silently sitting on this swing and continue watching the kids who were playing. I was thinking on what he said.

David really did envade my system. Since then, when I met him, hindi na siya nawala sa utak ko.  I feel like our meeting is all planned.

And based on what David is saying made me confused more. He's being weird. I don't know what he is talking about, but I think he knows something that I didn't.

My phone rang after that and I just notice that I wasting my time here. I took a peek on my phone and I saw Riane is the caller.

I look at David and he is just looking at me too, like he is trying to memorize my face. He smiled and nod when he realize that I was asking for permission.

I don't want to be rude.

Binalingan ko ng tingin ang phone ko then hit the answer button, "Hello..." I answered, almost whispered.

"Where the hell are you? Natapos na ang kwentuhan session namin ni tita, tas ikaw ano? Sino ba ka date mo at ang tagal tagal mo?" aniya na may halong inis sa boses.

She is whispering so I think she didn't want my Mom to here her scolding me like this.

I rolled eyes even though she didn't see it.

"Just wait a sec, I'm going up there." I answered.

"Kapag umabot ng taon yang second mo makakatikim ka talaga ng batok sa’kin."

Here comes my Mommy Riane again, "Yeah, yeah..."

I heard the end button signalized that Riane end the call. Oh, what an impatient one.

I looked at David that is now looking at me. I raised my brow like trying to intimidate him. He just chuckled.

"I'm going upstairs. Thanks for the time. See you when I see you." I stood up.

I was about to walk when he grabbed my arm and that was the time that I look at him, full of question drowned on my face.

"What?"

I saw hesitant in his eyes when he spoke, "C-can I go with you?"

I though about it, and I have no reason to say no, right? He was just want to visit my mom, right?

Being a good citezen I nod at him and after that I saw how relieved him at my answer.

We go upstairs together. I know Riane wouldn't expect this! David is keeping distance with us for the past 3 days and now, I'm with him?

I should ready myself with the mouth of that Riane. I know she will not let me in peace if I didn't answer her question. Geez.

I didn't knock. Why bother? My mom is inside and I know Riane knows that I will come up here any moment.

Ako ang naunang pumasok. I smiled at my Mom who looked at me and I looked at Riane who is now ready to shout at me when she stop and look to the one who's behind me.

"D-david?" she looked at me with questioning look.

What siya lang ba ang may karapatang bumisita?

I felt a sudden movement beside me and that's when I realized that David move beside me and lumapit siya kung saan nasan ang kama ni Mommy.

"Good Afternoon po..." then she looked to Riane, "Hi..."

It's too awkward! I frowned when I saw my mom look at David differently. What? Why?
