Thirty-nine

Daniel's pov.

"Okay I'm on it...Listen, she is very scared. Especially now that she knows that she will be transferred into an hospital. It's a long story but basically: she had a really bad accident and nearly died. She is very scared of hospitals. Please, try to calm her down", I heard Sean before he hung up. "I can't fuck this up now", I told myself. I put my phone back into my pocket. "Okay, paramedics are on their way. We'll be out here in no time", I said relieved. But (y/n) was not. I could see the pure panic in her eyes as her breath got faster and heavier. "Listen, everything is going to be fine. You don't need to be afraid - we'll stay with you and make sure nothing bad happens to you, okay?", I said trying to calm her down. But (y/n) was really really terrified. "What should we do? She is badly injured but if she panics to much, she could bail and everything would be worse", I thought. But I needed to keep calm. "That's only the worst case scenario - let's focus on not getting there", I told myself. I looked at Kevin as if he knew why or what we should do now. "Why is Sean not here...He'd know exactly what to do" I wanted to talk to Kevin, but we couldn't risk leaving (y/n) alone. The only thing keeping her calm at the moment were we two.

(y/n)'s pov.

"Please, don't leave me alone", I thought and looked at the two over and over again. "I just want to get out of here and be with Sean. I don't want to go to the hospital. I just want to go home." I was really really scared, but I tried to keep as calm as possible. Kevin and Daniel looked at each other. I felt so terrible. They needed to stay here just because of me. They could have escaped this hell minutes ago but they didn't because of me. Because Sean told them I would bail from the paramedics to avoid the hospital.

Then the paramedics came. I was so terrified about what was about to happen that I was unable to say anything. "They'll see my arms...", I thought and grabbed the end of my hoodie. I didn't want the paramedics to look at them. "Young lady, I need to push your sleeve up to give you something against the pain", the one said. He was really friendly and was trying his best to calm me down. "Sean probably told them how scared I was." "I don't need something. I am fine", I said. My voice was really silent. The paramedics looked at each other, probably wondering why I refused the medication even though my leg was totally crushed. "Okay. Then we'll take you three outside then", he said and they picked me up. I tried to stay calm and not panic. I didn't want to be a freak-show to the people standing outside the building.

Outside a few fans recognized Kevin and Daniel...and of course me too. But that was not as bad as I thought it would be. Cause instead of running towards us and asking us questions, I heard them say "Somebody tell Sean (y/n) is here" and stuff like that. I already sat in an ambulance when I saw him running towards us. The police and paramedics wanted to stop him but he just yelled at them "Please let me through! They are my friends!" Kevin and Daniel sat across of me and smiled. "Happy ending at last", Kevin said. "(Y/N)", I heard Sean say. He jumped into the ambulance and hugged me. "Sean", I said. I was so relived. "Guys, I am so glad you two are okay too", he said and hugged Kevin and Daniel as well.
