I watched as Percy kept the meeting going at a happy pace. I wondered what Grandmother would say to me today.
Fai! You need to follow a leader's role! Stop cowering in the corner and pay attention to what he's saying!
I focused on Clarisse's dream.
"Maybe... have you ever been to somewhere on your quests?" I asked.
"Well... most of the quests I've gone on, Percy always comes along and I've only gotten credit for one," Clarisse said.
"Well... for the sea of monsters Annabeth and I went but you were somewhere on a boat with dead people," Percy shrugged, "Maybe you saw something from there."
Clarisse fumbled around for something.
"Coffee sweetener? It's over in the cabinet," Coach Hedge said.
"No, Coach, I'm trying to find something," Clarisse muttered.
"What? We didn't bring--"
"No, I was wearing this jacket when I did the quest for the sea of monsters! It was baggy and oversized but I kept something in the pockets," Clarisse said.
"Yeah, what importance does it have now?" Percy raised an eyebrow questioningly.
"I knew that you would sneak out and try to come on the quest, so I took pictures along the way to show proof that I was the one who saved us with the Golden Fleece," Clarisse continued, "but we didn't need to use them because Percy gave me credit for saving it."
"Wait... that means... what?" Percy asked like a dumbass, earning a slap from Annabeth,
"Seaweed Brain! It means she might've taken a picture of the lady sitting by the stream," she muttered.
"Oh!" Percy nodded.
Clarisse spread the old photos onto the table and we looked through them.
"I see this little bay," Piper commented.
"Oh! I see it!" Clarisse yelled.
She showed us all the photos and I saw it, too. There, encased in a bunch of trees, was the face of a woman and a small stream, her hands dunked in the water.
"That's her?" Piper breathed.
"I think so," Clarisse said.
"She looks like a f***ing goddess!" Leo exclaimed.
"Maybe she is," Annabeth said thoughtfully.
"Perhaps she is, perhaps she is just a nymph," Reyna shrugged, sipping her box of apple juice.
"So... how do we find this? We don't even know where you were, Clarisse," I exclaimed.
Fai! Stop asking ridiculous questions! The girl probably knows where she was! I could almost hear Grandmother scolding me.
"I think... I think it was... down in Boston," Clarisse scrunched her eyebrows in thought, "Along Massachusetts, then I took a shortcut, but I saw the girl before I left."
"Okay, so we go to Boston," Annabeth said, "My aunt lives there."
"Bruh... you have a Yankees cap yet I'm pretty sure your aunt has a Red Sox cap," Percy snorted.
"She does," Annabeth shrugged, "but the mist covers it up so it looks like a Red Sox cap."
"Oh," Percy said, grinning like an idiot.
"So... we're gonna land there. In the woods? A huge battleship? Don't you think that'll look really weird?" Leo questioned.
"Eh, the mortals will probably think it's a helicopter or a huge flock of birds or butterflies... or they'll see a huge chicken nugget," Percy shrugged.
Leo laughed at that and we all remembered the time when those eagles attacked the Argo II and Leo talked about chicken nuggets. Percy then got up and walked out to the deck with Annabeth clinging to his arm.

I watched as Percy and Annabeth walked out onto the deck and I sat alone in my chair. How I wanted love like that. I glanced to Jason, who was kissing Piper passionately. I sighed, staring at my dark purple nails. I would never have such love in my life. Ever. Venus would make sure of that. I sat in silence, thinking about all the things Hylla has done. How much I had done. How much Percy had done. Then, I realized that I didn't do much. I felt useless. A praetor of Rome is supposed to be full of pride for the legion, but for some reason, I had given no information to this quest.
Percy came running in, panting. Annabeth was laughing in his arms.
"Bruh, we just found out that there was muffin mix in Percy's room!" Jason laughed, holding his stomach.
Percy laughed and threw eggs into the bowl.
"Percy! You're not supposed to get egg shells in there!" Annabeth groaned.
"What? I've never cooked!" Percy pouted as he lifted the eggshells out.
"Pay attention to the instructions and maybe you'll gain more wisdom than my mom gave you," Annabeth rolled her eyes.
Percy poured the muffin batter into a tray and threw it in the oven.
"Percy... you have to pre-heat it," Annabeth face-palmed.
"Oh... MY BAD," Percy giggled as Annabeth took over.
I joined in and Leo perked up a bit when a loud creak was heard as Festus communicated in morse code.
"Oh! Gotta go! I think we'll land tomorrow morning. Save a muffin for me! BRB!" Leo skipped off like an idiot.
"Sometimes I wonder about him," Calypso shook her head, pinching her brows but smiling.
"I HEARD THAT!" a yell sounded from the engine room.
We all laughed and when the muffins were done, Percy pulled them out of the oven, then he dropped them onto the table, waving his hand in the air.
"Owie!" he whined, pouring water all over his hand.
"Percy, you're supposed to take an oven mitt to take these things out," Annabeth sighed, rubbing some burn medication on it.
"Still! I wanted to eat!" Percy pouted.
"Whatever. They're out now," Annabeth looked to the muffins.
"Yay!" Percy grabbed one out and took a bunch of frosting to cover it.
"Percy, it's a muffin not a cupcake," Annabeth whacked his head.
"I still like eating my muffins like this," Percy gave those baby seal eyes to Annabeth, who stared for two seconds and closed her eyes.
"I can't continue falling for that," Annabeth sighed, looking away and grabbing her own muffin.
We all ate the baked goods, having fun for the first time on a quest like this.
