It'd been a six days and we were still sailing on the boat. I felt like dying on the ship... it was so boring. I rolled on the floor, smirking each time Katie would face-palm. Annabeth was working out the compass and then... the ship stopped. Annabeth got off of it and she neared an area. I knew we weren't there yet. The compass still pointed west, but there was writing on the sand in Ancient Greek.
Hello, heroes. I am Aether. I am allowed to help you. Hecate is being held hostage by End and Destroyer. She is kept in chains that no metal can break. This compass is leading you to the only pair of bolt-cutters will cut it and a sword that belongs to my baby brother. Anyway... you will need it to cut her free. That is all the help I am allowed to provide.
As soon as we all read it, it disappeared. Annabeth got the ship going again and we sailed, looking for the bolt-cutters. Annabeth was staring into the sea-green waters as they lapped at the edge of the ship.
"Hey," I said, looking into the ocean.
"Hey," she croaked.
She wiped a few tears away from her eyes and sighed heavily.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
She gave me a weird look and I held up my hands.
"Okay, I know what's wrong..." I chuckled and walked over to Katie.
I leaned in for a kiss but she put a finger on my puckered lips.
"Travis, you're acting like a pufferfish. Stop it," Katie laughed.
We kissed and Connor broke out of nowhere. WITH A CAMERA. He giggled and put the photo in a folder marked Tratie. I groaned and shook my head.
"Guys!" I heard Annabeth yell.
We all looked up to see an island. Not any island. An island full of monsters. Particularly the one in the front holding the bolt cutters.
Porphyrion.

I woke up feeling like I had just been burned alive. I looked to my left to see Semystra walking up with a wet towel dripping with stream water. She placed it on my forehead and changed my bandages... which covered all of my body, technically. I was embarrassed to say that I wasn't wearing clothes.
"Uh... Semystra? Where are my clothes?" I whispered.
"I had to take them off to apply the special ointment you brought back for me. They were burned anyway," she shrugged, spreading more of the weird purple concoction onto my wounds.
"How long?" I asked.
"How long until what?" she scrunched up her nose in confusion.
"How long until I can go back to my friends?"
"Depends. You can take some of the dragon's blood. Your little dragon gave me some earlier," she said, getting out a duffel bag.
She shoved items in it. She gave me a thermos of nectar, a whole bag of ambrosia squares, bandages, some food, water bottles, and a whole bottle of dragon's blood. She zipped it tightly and smiled.
"You've done well, my boy. I've communicated with the stream and they have told me of End's lair. He is keeping Hecate there," she said.
"Yeah... and?" I rasped.
"It's in Washington D.C., Mount Rushmore. There's a door in the rock made out of the same material and a keypad next to it. It has the numbers 1900 for a password. Then... you'll make it inside of the monument. They're keeping her inside of President Lincoln's face..." she trailed off at my look.
"It's a rock, okay? Not his dead body!" she groaned.
"Okay... so just find Abraham Lincoln's face?" I asked.
"Yep," a loud clap of thunder that clearly wasn't Zeus's made her jump.
"Alas... I have said too much. I'll have to hide from End's forces but it is way too dangerous for you to stay here."
She wheeled the bed over to a boat that was sitting on the stream.
"Go before they find you," she said.
The boat was like a bed on the water. I gave her a questioning look.
"The streams will keep you safe. Don't worry, End doesn't know about my patron," she smiled.
Even if my body protested, I got up and laid down in the boat. She placed the duffel bag next to me and the small dragon, who licked my face. With a wave of her hands, the stream sent me hurtling through the waters. I closed my eyes and drifted into a dreamless sleep.

I saw Porphyrion aim his sword at Jason.
"There they are! Pathetic demigods! Charge!"
A loud boom echoed as they threw a grenade dangerously close to our ship.
"I got the ship! I'll steer it to safety! You cupcakes go kick some ass and I'll be back to finish it!" Coach Hedge yelled before shoving us into the water.
We all screamed and the boat was driven away. I looked to see a lifeboat already lowered and we all got on.
"CHARGE!" I yelled.
We all battled furiously. I looked in dismay to see that Polybotes had arrived with his brothers and they were all here, trying to kill us. I knew we couldn't kill a giant. We couldn't... but we had to get those bolt cutters. Jason was sending lightning hurtling at Porphyrion and Thalia was impaling him with her arrows, dipped with poison. Piper was charmspeaking Periboia. Thalia then moved on to shooting Orion with the help of Will. Nico and Hazel were battling furiously with Alcyoneus. I looked at Polybotes, who was glaring at me murderously. I then saw Enceladus, who was growling. I had to fight two giants.
Polybotes threw his net at me and I miss it just as Enceladus almost be-headed me when she threw her dagger. I gasped and rolled to the side. I took out my drakon-bone sword and stabbed Enceladus's thigh, before I threw a knife into Polybotes's knee. I circled Enceladus, but I could tell we were losing the fight. The giants were impossible to kill without a god and we had no gods fighting on our side. I was bloody and tattered, Jason was being dragged by Will, who was trying to desperately avoid the slashes the giants were aiming at them. Jason had a large bullet wound in his arm and was passed out. Piper was on the floor, feebly slashing as Periboia stabbed at her. We were losing.
