So this isn't really a songshot, but rather a oneshot—I decided to keep it with pt. 1 for organizational purposes.

Feeling giddy and childish like a young schoolgirl once again, you swung your bag dangerously high by its strap, the contents hidden inside ready to fly in all directions with a single miscalculated flick of your wrist. A noticeable skip in your step, you couldn't help but bask in the beaming smile which curved along your lips, while humming along to an imaginary upbeat tune.

Finally free from the weeks worth of work and stress, the handsome image of your boyfriend—and true love—Sanemi, was all you could think about. He had called you late again last night like he always does, far too exhausted to stay awake but always driven by the rewarding sound of your beautiful voice, and told you about the date he had been planning this weekend. The details for the actual date itself were left a surprise, but he told you to come over to his place after work so you both could wake up early for the next day.

So you rushed on home as soon as the clock reached the end of your work day, hastily packing the clothes you had wasted hours the night before picking out, and went on your merry way to his apartment. Once you had walked out the door, you shot him a text to let him know you were on your way, not at all worried if he saw it or not.

Luckily Sanemi's apartment wasn't far from your own, for he'd originally suggested that you stay in the area while you were first home searching, so you'd both be close if anything happened or if you needed him. Respecting the last turnout of your previous relationship, both Sanemi and you thought it would be a good idea for you to get back on your feet and establish a place for yourself before delving into the thought of sharing a home together.

The nasty outcome of being stranded on the streets had left you shaken up and quite the nervous Nellie, despite knowing Sanemi would never leave you in such a position, so he only encouraged you to take the time to heal. You were so grateful for his constant help throughout the situation, as you were able to turn your life around and start up better than ever.

And let's be honest—it's also great to have a place to call your very own, all to yourself.

Spending your time with Sanemi quickly allowed you to forget about the man who crushed your heart and allowed you to experience such a toxic relationship—if you could even call it a relationship—leaving you happier than ever. It was almost as if you and Sanemi had never separated. Things had been going so well.

And things would only get better as you approached the door to the apartment. You already had a spare key he entrusted you with, but you decided it would probably be better to knock first to see if anyone was home. It was around the time he got off work, so it was questionable if he'd returned yet.

Your knuckles rapped against the door once, twice, waiting a few moments as rushed heavy footsteps sounded from behind it. The suppressed laugh bit through your lips, and you could only imagine how excited Sanemi must have looked, rushing to greet you at the door.
