DRISHTI'S POV
The warm morning sunlight gushed in through the open window and spilled over the white marble floor of my cabin, on my spotless white blankets.
I smiled to myself as I got up and got dressed, brushing my hair for the first time in a week.
Finally, we would be going home today. The turbulence has subsided and flights were available again and my hospital would be discharging me in about an hour's time.
I couldn't wait to be back home and forget the whole reason of ever visiting Bali. This trip was the most destructive of all the trips I have ever had in my life. The love of my life was marrying someone else, I lost my - my child...
But anyways, I would be home by tonight and I couldn't help myself from bubbling with excitement.
I looked at the clock. Fifteen minutes past nine.
Our flight was scheduled to depart at twelve noon today. Rakshit, Divya, Romi - all of them had gone back to check out of the cottage.
Yes, we are leaving together.
Throughout these seven days, I have become good friends with Rakshit, courtesy goes to our secret midnight strolls across the bridge. The walks were my only escape from the otherwise monotonous white hospital cabin and the strong smell of disinfectants.
Divya has been bonding well with Rakshit's brother, Sikhar and Rashi and Romi have become friends already. All of them are such nice people.
We have exchanged addresses and phone numbers, promising to be in touch. Divya and Sikhar have already made plans to visit the planeterium together the next weekend.
I smiled.
I was still a little weak, but the doctor has permitted me to travel. I have been ordered complete bed rest for another two weeks and I will have to continue my medicines for the next one month, maintaining a good diet.
I did my breakfast, making small conversation with the kind, elderly nurse attending to me, and then took my pills. She asked me how I felt to be leaving hospital today, and I answered her gladly, my face breaking into a big smile. She laughed at my enthusiasm, telling me that I looked a lot better than when I had first come. She told me to rest and walked off.
But I couldn't rest, I was so excited!
I paced around the room, checking the pending messages on my phone.
Suddenly, I heard the door open.
I looked towards it enthusiastically, expecting either Rakshit or Divya (the others would go to the airport directly).
I was wrong when I thought my misfortunes in Bali were over, I realized they had only begun the moment I saw him walking in through the door.

My heart leapt - with excitement and fear as I saw him walking in. He closed the door behind him, locking it. I didn't know what his intentions were, I was too anticipated to bother. He has come - he has come to visit me. My blood pounded through my veins.
But before I could even utter his name, he advanced towards me and clamped my mouth down with his right hand. He smiled coldly. His eyes were burning - with anger and - vengeance. No, these were not the eyes of the man I had loved. No, they were not. These eyes belonged to a hungry animal, an animal who had found its prey, waiting maliciously to tear it apart.
A tear escaped my eye as the index finger of his left hand trailed along my collarbone. He pulled out his handkerchief and tied it around my mouth. I tried to protest, but I was weak and he was so much stronger than me. I tried to shout, but my voice came out as a muffled gag. It was of no use anyways, even if I shouted, no one would come to my aid, because this floor was deserted, with only two patients, other than me.
