⚜️And then...life happened..⚜️

Alestia

Reluctant.

I was more than reluctant to leave the warm comfort of the soft sheets, yet this mission wasn't something I could ditch for sleep.

Levi, however, seemed awfully concentrated for someone who hadn't gotten a blink of sleep after the tiring day.

Dressing up inconspicuously, hand in hand we head out our room making our way up the terrace, which by the way was totally open for guests.

To our convenience, many of the guests had chosen the same time for a tour of the terrace. Levi and I carefully inched towards the emergency stairs that was totally unguarded save for the CCTV that stood  right outside the door.

Using the elevator to reach Romanov's room would be dumb. That was equivalent to letting everyone know, 'Oh hey yea we are going to visit Romanov if he ends up dead tommorow thats definitely not our fault.'

Definitely not.

As such we had resorted to the unused emergency stairs that would lead us up level 5, just beside Romanov's presidential suite if the blueprint wasn't wrong.

Now, the problem currently we were facing was the CCTV that hovered ominously over our head.

Levi scrutinized the CCTV from left to right discreetly, while he murmured into the earphones.

"Ace, check if you can give us a minute to cross the this shit without getting detected."

Ace's tired voice rung through the earphone.

"In exactly one minute I'll turn off the camera for thirty seconds, that enough for you?"

Levi smiled as if already knew that Ace would've found out a way.

"More, than enough."

It was honestly surprising. Ace seemed to be prepared beforehand as it didn't take him more than a minute to answer us.

Levi had befriended someone useful afterall.

"Alrighty, in three seconds the camera will be turned off for thirty seconds so hurry along."

Levi and I exchanged a quick look, looking around to ensure no one was around before swiftly entering the door and softly closing in behind us.

We climbed up one floor, just out of the camera's reach before stopping and going through our plan again.

If our information wasn't wrong, Romanov was supposed to be on room 502, one of the only two rooms of the fifth floor.

"Where's the thing?"

Instead of replying, I hand him the seemingly ordinary lipstick.

But it was anything but.

Remember all those spy movies you saw?

Those hidden weapons were real shit.

Inside that lipstick tube wasn't a a colorful bar of waxy substance instead there was a syringe  that would expel its contents upon pressing a small button at the bottom of the stick.
