⚜️I didn't choose you, my heart did...⚜️

Alestia

Thin.

My patience was wearing thin. Very thin.

"I'll ask you both again, are you sure?"

And for the nth time both Levi and I nodded. Levi had long immersed himself in a game of fruit ninja, cutting away at the poor fruits.

Probably imagining they were Richard's head.

Yes, Richard's.

Imagine my surprise when, after a very......eventful days , my adopted parents show up in very messy attires, wrecking up a havoc on how I managed to get hurt.

Someone had snitched.

That someone being Aurora, who merely give me an innocent smile when my eyes narrowed at her.

Angela smacked Richard in the head giving him a look that dared him to defy her.

And dare he didn't.

"Leave them alone, if a normal life is what they want that's what they'll get understood?" She warned menacingly.

Richard nodded like a lost puppy.

Angela gaze turned towards me. She gently rubbed my head affectionately, smiling softly.

"Ric, I think you had something to talk to with Levi, didn't you?"

Her gaze didn't move away from me while she spoke.

Almost immediately Levi straightened, exiting the game and gazing towards Richard in alarm.

He looked....scared.

Honestly, I wasn't sure how much of our story they knew, but now seeing Richard's sharp cold gaze it wasn't hard to guess.

They knew everything.

More or less.

"Come along kid." Richard spoke before turning on heels with a frightened Levi following after him.

Just before leaving, he glanced at me in desperation.

But I knew.

It wasn't desperation to avoid this talk. It was desperation to avoid any separation from me.

He was still dazed from the realistic dream and me merely being out of his sight would proof to be difficult.

But we both knew.

This couldn't be avoided.

My helplessness mirrored his as I saw him leave the room, gripping tightly on the handle of the sofa, suddenly realizing I was just as anxious as he.

An uncomfortable silence overtook as Aurora gave Angela and I some privacy.

Just when I thought I had developed my social interaction skills.
