Another week, another five days of absolute stress.

Monday had finally crept up, meaning the final essay was due on Wednesday, the last day of September.

After spending the weekend editing and revising rough drafts, Seorin had built up unnecessary stress in her system, causing her to lose sleep night after night.

She furiously typed on the keyboard as her stomach growled, but she pushed away the feeling. Determined to finish the final draft, she decided to stay in the library for lunch, another meal she was skipping for the sake of her school work.

Her earphones were plugged in, blasting that one YouTube video of lofi beats to keep her focused, tuning out all of the background noise around her. Her slightly chapped lip from not caring about her appearance was held hostage by her teeth, biting at the skin out of distress.

The moving of the chair in front of her snapped her out of her thoughts, making her look in up slight annoyance. She pulled out an earphone, pausing the music.

"Hey, I figured you'd be here." he gave her a warm smile, setting down a couple snacks onto the table they shared.

She rubbed her eyes underneath her clear frames, reaching for one.

"Thanks, these are my favorite." she lazily returned the smile, opening the packaging.

"Yeah, Jisung told me you liked the ones with Pororo packaging?" he chuckled, making her face flush red. "I mean, I like the original packaging too! I just think it's cuter." she mumbled, embarrassed by her own childish mannerisms.

Jeno looked over at her laptop screen, reaching over to save her essay. Her eyes widened as he shut it close, making a small laugh escape his lips.

"You need to give yourself a break, you didn't even come to the table to eat." he laid back in his chair, studying the tired girl in front of him.

"I just really need to finish it, I keep getting stuck." she looked down in frustration, feeling the anxiety building up in her system. If there's one thing she hated, it was struggling with school. And with an essay as crucial as this towards her grade, she was beyond stressed.

"Hey, you're a smart girl, I'm surprised you haven't taken my rank." Jeno began, making a soft giggle escape her lips. "You're a genius in English, whatever you come up with is gonna be amazing." he reassured her, somewhat easing her nerves.

"Thanks, it's just writing an essay about someone you feel like you barely know- wouldn't anyone find that stressful?"

"Yeah, I got paired with that kid Hyunjin. I'm having trouble finding the right words." Jeno shrugged, but her heart instantly dropped at the mention of his name.

Her once red face turned pale, making her want to throw up all the food she had just ate. Jeno eyed her expression, concern instantly washing over him.
